Muhammad to Bears?

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Muhammad to Bears?

Post by fredp45 »

Just noticed on the ESPN ticker that he's close to a contract with the Bears.

While I'd like to see him playing for us, I'm just really really happy that he isn't going to the Eagles...especially after hearing that Owens and McNabb were talking to him at the Pro Bowl...whew...

This trade actually helps us because it will increase our chance of getting one of the top receivers in the draft. I am happy about this.

not to nit-pik but this isn't a trade, just a FA signing by the Bears...The Panthers let him go yesterday.

Still, you're right -- The Bears pick ahead of us in the draft and they need WRs worse than us. Unfortunately, I think the Vikes will take a WR ahead of us to replace Moss. Not sure who else will take one...

Good for the Bear, good signing.

I still think the Bears will use their 1st pick on Edwards or Williams. They want a yound WR to team up with Grossman for years to come.

Also, the Titans, Bucs, and Vikings will be looking for a WR ahead of the Skins.

i think the bucs are taking a rb...gruden is supposedly in love with carnell williams

also, i wouldn't doubt if the vikings use the #7 pick on defense (antrelle rolle) and take williamson or clayton with their 2nd first round pick

maybe wishful thinking, but it's a strong possibility IMO

Not anal retentive, just respectful to the rules set out by BH and the mods. And sensitive to those of us that prefer to see Around the League news in the Around the League forum. It only takes a bit of effort to keep everything in its right place.

This signing doesn't make a lot of sense to me, unless he's going to be making some pretty big bucks. Or perhaps he wants to pick up an underdog team and give them a fighting chance (kind of like the Panthers of a few years ago. . .)?

GREAT!!!! I'm so glad to hear this. I hope all of the old and overpaid FA's get taken off the market so that Danny and his crew aren't tempted. Like I said before, we are getting Mike Williams.
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!
