Buyers Beware
The don't call him Sideline Santana for nothing.
He's afraid of contact and he doesn't like to get hit(self addmitted) Plus he's due for a new contract soon.
Listen to me now & hear me later....Santana wouldn't catch 90 balls on a bad foot,he wouldn't even get on the field.
Moss is built for the slot,he won't get to run the slot in Washington.

I can understand, but what we have to look at is If we cant trade Coles we might as well keep him here next year. I know he's going to say he hurt his foot and not play at all. I would much rather have a guy who plays 50% of the time than have Coles bail out after the 1st game. But, if all is true, i do see room for Wash. to entertain other offers.

Well Santana Moss is gonna want to be paid like a #1 WR,just like Portis did. Go compare the #'s Moss Vs Coles( even with his bad foot)
The Jets & their fans would love to get rid of Moss before his contract is up. The kid runs east to west...not a good thing for a punt returner.
When asked why he runs out of bounds instead of taking contact he said " Why risk getting hit?"

Coles had 90 catches last yr with a bad foot.
Ill be happy to take Hobbles McGee back and give you Moss....This would be hilarious. Snyder Buys Coles and then is forced to trade him back to the team he got him from, only 2 years after the huge contact & bonus....and we give you the guy we want to get rid of?
Im all for it.

Smizz, maybe the trade with the Jets will happen; maybe not...but I checked your posts back when we signed Coles and after a few games your posts were, like a true NYJ fan (and I don't have a problem with that), "see, I told you Moss would be better than Coles"...I hereby decree: you can't have it both ways...
I'm just stirrin' the pot and living in the '70s.

I remember saying this " Coles is the real deal,i never said he wasn't....He was my favorite jet.Ive watched every single coles play in a jets uniform and the guy is a STUD.I didnt think Ramsey was going to be able to step up & get the ball to him as the way he has so far.Just get coles the ball. The kid does amazing work after the catch.Just wait till they figure out he is just as effective on 5 yd slants as his is at 15yd post pattern's" almost 2 years ago.Wysocki wrote:Smizz, maybe the trade with the Jets will happen; maybe not...but I checked your posts back when we signed Coles and after a few games your posts were, like a true NYJ fan (and I don't have a problem with that), "see, I told you Moss would be better than Coles"...I hereby decree: you can't have it both ways...
But you will remember what you want. Moss didn't pan out and coles didn't pan out for you.

From your house message board: http://www.jetsinsider.com/forums/index ... pic=44383#
That sucks
Although I want Coles on the jets, I hate giving up Santana BIG TIME
What the hell are the Jets thinking?????
Moss nor Coles had outstanding years, but I'd rather keep Moss and wait. We don't NEED a WR so desperately to make a move like this.
PLEASE DONT LET IT BE SO
this is huge, although i think its a mistake because i support Tan, i just cant see cheering for someone who didnt wanna play for us then left us for a big $ team with no desire to win.
No words can express how mad I am right now . This a stupid trade, god Bradway keep Santana and go after Mason !
Moss is a better overall player. Also for this year Moss is costing us $448,000..and would have played his ass off for a new contract in a new system. Also Moss can get deep where Coles is a possession WR.
This is a HORRIBLE TRADE..and Coles was my favorite player when he was here! And how much is this guy gonna cost us when he gets here??????
I don't have the time right now, but I would love to go back to the time when the Redskins went raiding on the Jets roster and almost every member on this board was calling Coles "La-turd-eous" and saying that the Jets were better off without him.
Now to some of you guys he's a big step up from Santana.
Jeez!. This trade is F'in TERRIBLE!!!
I think this is a bad trade if its straight up especially if we have to eat his remaining bonus numbers as well.
i love santana he cant leave!!
wouldnt you rather add a FA and keep Moss than trade Moss for Coles and address none of our needs?
this is gonna be a tuff call....but never moss for coles, isnt moss 2 yrs younger? no injury, if coles was a FA....then
Now there where people on there who liked the trade but I didn't see anybody saying they would love to get rid of Moss....
Anymore tall tales?

I don't like this trade at all. I wouldn't mind too bad if we weren't taking a cap hit at all. Coles needs to pay back all of his remaining SB if he wants to go anywhere as far as I'm concerned, and I just can't believe Gibbs would disagree.
I like Moss, but he's a good #2 receiver at best. I would make the trade with no cap hit simply to get rid of Coles attitude, but otherwise, I'd just keep Coles.
If he had ANY kind of attitude that was detrimental to the team, I'd sent his butt home and tell him when he was ready to give up his entire remaining signing bonus OR ready to come help the team win the right way, he could come back.
I would have no problem at all with Gibbs making Coles sit on his butt at home for a year or two while collecting his paycheck. That would send the message, and all of these players would know the deal. I also have the feeling Coles wouldn't just sit at home.
Gibbs needs to send the message that HE is in charge, not some whiny player.

Well it's coming from the URL that you represent in your profile.... but if you say they're all 8 year olds... we'll take you word for it...

Go ahead.. I think most of us would agree with you... most of us believe Coles is a better WR then Moss... so I don't understand your point...

I never said what your opinion on Moss is.... But you spoke up for the Jets & their Fans.. and I'm just showing you your not right... they don't all agree that Moss should go... but they must be 8 year olds because they don't agree with you...

Great.. thanks for that... again nobody is saying that your team is not getting an even or better deal in a straight up trade... I don't understand what your mission is here... first we're over paying for coles and now we're getting a bad player in return for him... frankly.. I feel it wouldn't matter who we traded for... you'd find some way to come over here and slam him....
Shooo....
