This would be a great FA pickup if Smoot leaves. he would pay immediate dividends and would give us the luxury of concentrating on a top WR in the draft. The Bills got a third rounder for not being able to sign Marcellus Wiley, but I dont think we get anything for releasing a player

No. Gibbs will overlook him. Especially after being arrested for his Valentine's Day altercation with his wife.

I don't think he would be all that cheap, either.

Don't be surprised if we DON'T pick up a #1 or #2 cornerback this offseason and Walt Harris becomes our #2 with Springs as our #1.

We also have Wilds in the mix as well.

He showed some potential at the end of the year.

I still think we should pick up Ken Lucas. He is an excellent #2 corner. He's a free agent and he's cheap(er than most FA corners). He's also played with Springs in Seattle so they have chemistry.

He is not a core guy INMO.

I wouldn't mind that but I haven't read anything about our staff looking at him. At CB, Smoot is still priority #1.

yall are still failing to realize wilds hasnt proven himself. yea ok he did good against the vikings but he was guarding campbell not moss and he had the help of ST. springs is getting old and i dont trust harris who is also injury prone. so i think we should draft or sign a #1 cb this offseason

No one ever said to cut all our CB's and make Wilds our top corner. He can provide depth and play the nickel as well.

If we can't get Smoot under contract, who is good but not a number 1 CB, then who in the world can we sign?

Who says samari rolle is a #1 cornerback? Smoot is a better corner than smari rolle, and Wilds was matched up with Moss a few time, he may be able to be our 2nd corner

Samari Rolle, in my opinion is a much better cover corner than Smoot. He was matched up against number 1 recievers with the titans, unlike Smoot who usually took the number two. At the right price I'd like to see a reunion of Gregg Williams and Samari Rolle.
