Trade up....
Trade up to the #3 spot and give the Browns our 9th and trade 2nd round picks and give them our 3rd pick. The Browns will still get Derrick Johnson OLB of Texas. This way we will get our Wr. we want. Moss is going to the Raiders and the Raiders gave up there 7th pick so the Vikings will prob take a reciver and at the 4th spot the Bears will take a reciver as well, but if we trade up to the 3rd oerall pick we will call the shots on who gets who.
Didn't we trade away our second round this year??? If we didn't I wouldn't be 100% sure we'd still have it after we get through free agency. So much speculation so little time.

I hope we don't give them away! We need to get something for them. But I am all for using them to acquire a free agent prior to the draft if that is what it takes. Unforunately it seems like it's going to be a WR off season. So I won't speculate as to who will be left but I've said it before and I'll say it again I don't want Mike Williams. We need guys who are not all about the money. You said that yourself KK. And just on a side note it makes me leary that the boy won't be running at the Combine? Does that mean he thinks he's above it or doesn't have anything to prove?? Definitely not the type of player we need.

Why not trade Coles for a mid to late first round pick, assuming he absorbs some of his signing bonus to make the deal cap friendly. I think we should also try to then trade that pick for a second rounder and a third or fourth rounder. There is no standout talent this year, and I think the first-third rounds are almost even

Jumping up 6 spots, they're going to want our first this year and next... plus probably our 3rd and maybe more.... it doesn't make since to give up that much for either of those guys.. not including all the money we'd have to pay him being drafted number 3 overall....that won't look pretty on the 2006 cap...
It ain't gonna happen guys... we'd do better trading back and getting some guys to fill some holes...

Oopsies! What's that taste like?

The "Top" WR in any draft class rarely if ever turns out to be the best pro WR.
IF you feel that WR is the way that you have to go, trading down instead of up is definitely the way to go. I believe that Clayton's going to be the best WR in this draft when it's all said and done, followed closely by White.
I only have two games of Williams still left on tape, but from what I saw, I feel that he was something of a product of a system, lacking the ability to seperate and benefitted playing opposite Colbert.
I have some questions about Edwards maturity, and if you want a receiver with great physical tools whose production failed to live up to his ability, grab Freddie Gibson over Williamson.

This space reserved for BTP......If he ever wins it.

Troy Williamson will be fly up the boards after the combine. He is a much better player than you think. He's coming out of a weak system and still averaged 19.4 yards per catch. It isn't because he didn't reach is potential, its because of the system he was in. Troy is much better than Reggie Brown, with much more upside too. He is in the same league as Mike and Braylon, mark my words. 4.3 40 at the combine.
Still Loyal. Go Skins!
Williamson reminds me of the new Stallworth in New Orleans. He's becoming a good pro - but it took a little longer for him to develop. I suspect the same for Williamson. Speed is a GREAT thing to have. Still, you've gotta block, read the D and sometimes participate on special teams - if you're not an outright starter from Day One.
