I "THINK" I have gotten myself a job!

I knew about this two weeks ago but I have been very careful not to post because I don't want to jinx myself. The lady interviewing called us back from our little vacation so I could do the drug test. Then last week she was having trouble contacting some of my former employers so I helped her a bit. I hadn't heard anything since so I was starting to get nervous. I called today and was told everything was submitted to Richmond for approval and I should hear from her sometime soon about my start date! WHOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO

On the down side the job does require training in Richmond which means I have to spend a few nights away from home. I'm hoping that I can get through that part of the whole ordeal and then the rest I can handle easily.

Yes I passed the drug test. If not I don't think they'd hire me. It's with the office of probabtion and parole, they take that kind of stuff pretty seriously. lol

First of all, NikiH...congratulations. Nothing will do more for your self-esteem than a nice, steady job. Jackson is a lucky boy. He had you home for all that time, which brings me to...
Who's minding the baby for you ? Did you manage to line up a trustworthy daycare that isn't going to take every dime you wind up making ?

Yep we found a place he likes. It's pricey but worth it to know he's learning and safe. My job will actually provide us with health insurance that will make it well worth me returning to work. I feel very privleged to have had 3 years to be home with Jackson exclusively. Now he's ready to go learn some social skills.

No he just thinks the world revolves around him. He has "only child" syndrome. Doesn't look like he'll ever be anything but, so school is the way to teach him to be a little humbler. And to realize that he may be the world to me and his daddy but everyone else does have reason for being around.
