This is only a beta program right now, but
http://maps.google.com is very smooth. I love the link at the top for local searches, you click it and can enter anything like bars in springfield, va and it'll show all the locations on the map. I think yahoo maps and mapquest are in trouble now.

I thought Yahoo was google, or the other way around.

Yahoo used to use Google's technology but about a year ago they stopped. They are two completely different entities now.

This looks like a pretty cool site. Need to play with it a little to see what it can do.
