How did this Super Bowl rank?

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

How did this Super Bowl rank?

Post by Irn-Bru »

Now it's time to ask the question, since we've all had some time to celebrate the Eagles NOT winning; and a general impression of the game has formed for each of us. I voted for "Above average" -- sloppy passes, some dumb penalties, and poor performances (rather than 2 great performances with one team edging out the other) made for kind of a choppy game. But I still think that it was exciting in general, which doesn't always happen.

If one of the options doesn't fit, select "other" and tell us why.

I agree with your assessment. I didn't find it particularly entertaining in a sense, but it was back and forth all game. After hemming and hawing all week, I decided to root for the defenses since I didn't want either team to win, and in that manor, I kind of saw what I wanted. The worst team lost rather than the best team winning.

Also, one of the most prolific games I have ever witnessed from a wide reciever.
RIP 21

it was pretty good... although both teams played sloppy, it was competitive to the very end... i have to be honest though, i would have voted sub-par if the eagles had won!
May #21 never be worn again by another Redskin but may every Redskin play like they are wearing #21 on their backs.

Look at it this way all the other teams that have won 3 superbowls have averaged 18 or higher points from their opponent. But the patriots dynasty averages 3 points. I mean comeone

God, that SB was boring. Don't understand how non-fans hof these teams could find that a good SB.

I thought it was crappy, last years was one of the best to watch and the one between the Rams and the Titans as far as close and fun to watch

i think it was definitely "above average".

we have been treated to some really great superbowls over the past 4 or 5 years--

*rams vs. titans
*rams vs. patriots
*patriots vs. panthers

those all come to mind right away. all of those games came right down to the end.

but traditionally the superbowl is a one-sided blowout.

this year's edition was surely better than average, even pretty good, but not as exciting as those 3 recent ones.
