Whoops!. . .er, my 1k + 1 thread

Post by Irn-Bru »

1,000 kind of snuck up on me there, but I guess 1,001 is just about as good.

I love the Redskins. I'm a college student, and I go to school in Michigan, so it is tough each fall for me to get enough Skins info--and forget about seeing more than 3 games a season. About this time last year, I went to study abroad in England (it made me miss the Super Bowl to do so).

There I was, enjoying myself, but it was obvious that something was missing. I had a lot of downtime, it was the offseason, and I was removed from all good Redskins sources. I'd check WP, WT, and Redskins.com daily but was dissatisfied. So one day I started searching the web, and stumbled across an intriguing website named after the greatest O-line in the history of football.

I've never been in want of Redskins info, discussion, etc. ever since.

BossHog, HS666, JansenFan, NC43Hog are about 10 steps ahead of everyone, it seems. I've never seen anyone take them to smack to vocalize their problems with the board, and come out on the winning end. The way this board is run, I'm not sure that this is even possible--who could argue that someone hasn't been treated fairly here? Some of the other mods: Scooter, TexasHog, Wingman--I know that a lot of your work is behind the scenes, and I do appreciate it.

Jake, Ant, and 1niksder, for a long time I've been lazy and have let you guys bring the articles to me. Sorry about that, but thanks for the dedication to the cause.

BTP, GF, tcwest, Redeemed, SSIII, redskinscity--I know that whenever I see one of these names in a thread it's going to be good. . .or at least entertaining.

JPFair, JusticeHog, DEHog, Redskins1974, RiC: you guys love the Redskins so much it's hard for me to believe sometimes.

Everyone above, and CLL, cvillehog, NikiH, Champsturf, SkinsJock, Scottskins, redskins4ever, Skinsfan55, Amberion, ArmyHog, Warmother, wormer, Brandon777, Wysocki: you all bring a lot of substance to this board that makes it worthwhile to read. I'm serious when I say that each one of you is a favorite poster of mine (I guess I have a lot of "favorites." Except some are a little more favorite. So if one isn't posting, but another is, that's okay, cause you're all favorites. So you know, it's still a favorite.)

Welch, you're the man.

I might be biased, but we've got one of the better collection of core Redskins fans on the net. Thanks to everyone who makes this work!

Of course, I must have left some people out. If you write more than 1 sentence replies and articulate your views well, then you know who you are.

Here's to 1k1 posts, and hopefully I'll still be around at 2k2 (unfortunately for all of you)!!

Boy, are you gonna get it.
I did this same thing, and you wouldn't BELIEVE the backlash from the guys you didn't mention.
I'm humbled and honored to be mentioned, and I thank you for that.
Just one question. The broad that you went overseas to study...was she worth it ? :)

I must have edited it about 15 times. I even went to your post to make sure I wasn't missing any names, and then went through that list of "recently visited" names at the bottom. . .I'm hoping I don't offend too many people.

And to answer your question: yes, it was worth it. I love beer. ;)

Congrats FFA.... Your input on the board is always a good "stop and read"... that's my opinion anyways... which is worth about 2 cents.... don't say I never gave you nothin.... ;)

Congratulations FFA! It is good to know that there are great Skins fans passing on the flag from one generation to another. I appreciate your contributionsto the board.

I do not know what you are studying at Michigan but I know you are going to do great in your professional life.
