Terrell Owens is selfish
I don't know about anyone else, but Terrell Owens actually confirmed my belief that he is completely selfish after the Super Bowl. After the game he told the media that none of them thought that he could play as well as he did, and that he would be praised if he was Brett Favre. Why exactly is he more concerned with how the media perceives his play rather than the fact that he just lost the super bowl?
I know what your saying he could have chosen a better time to say it, but he's right. They still talk about Fred Dryer playing on a broken leg in the SB. TO did what he had to do to play in the game. He played very well and deserves props for that, but won't get it because he's such a self-centered player most of the time

However, had the Eagles won, the media would have been all over the story giving Owens all the credit in the world. He did accomplish a pretty amazing feat even getting on the field, let alone the great game that he had. And that is exactly what is kind of perplexing about it--Owens had about a good a game as he could have. The only variable (I think) was the play of his team mates, especially McNabb.
Why is it that, just because the Eagles lost, they don't give Owens the attention that (I hate to say it) he probably deserves. If he had played to the same level (or even worse, frankly) and the Eagles had won we'd have never heard the end of it.
Could've should'ves, I guess. . .

What did you want TO to say or do? Cry, pout, talk about what they should have done? He went out and proved the world wrong. Analysts had psychis predicting that TO was going to get hurt and he didn't. They said he was going to ruin his career potentially and he went out and had a game at 70% that is better than same players A game. If anytime was the right time to gloat that was it, he didn't have much else to be happy about.

TO did do great though!
*spit take* Farve doesn't do stupid crap? He's played doped up. He's thrown punches at defensive players and not been flagged. And more recently he chucked the ball to another player four yards beyond the line of scrimmage because he didn't want to take a hit. But he's not a bad guy, right? He's had so much happen to him, and by him I mean everyone around him, that he's got to be a great guy.

Yea, they do seem to turn a blind eye to his antics and blow up others players more than needed. Its partly the media's fault, and the players for giving them something to write about.
I believe that the media wanted to turn SEAN TAYLOR into the next TO, they want him to be a trouble maker and I dont blame him for shying away from them. Sadly by shying away all they'll have to refer to is his mistakes and nothing good. The media is evil!

TO worked his butt off and played a great game. I'm impressed with that....
BUT! Anything the media is saying about him now is his own doing. He's the one that showboats and talks smack about players after he's moved on to another team, instead of acting like a man and saying it while on the same team, or god forbid, to their face.
TO should have said nothing about it. His answer should have been, I just wanted to help the team. We lost, it sucks, and we'll work our butts off for another chance next year. If he said that, there would not have been a story today, and he probably would have been praised for playing a little bit more than he was...

Death to the EGO! RIP 21
To deserved to play in the Super Bowl. Showboat or not, he put a spark in this team and lead them to the SB. He got hurt and worked his butt off to recover. His physical work ethic can't be questioned. Even Andy Reid says that he has bad hands but the only reason he is as good as he is is because of all the work he puts into improving himself.

Wow, I didn't know he had bad hands. Ive never watched him continuously but he always seemed to have good hands when I see him. I guess he has really improved himself.

Don't forget the media plays the soundbytes they want to play and make it look like T.O. was only speaking about him....in truth a reporter probably asked T.O. about it, and what you heard was his reply.

You kill by the sword, you die by the sword.
You taunt flapping your wings when you score, your opponents will do it to you when they score.
You act in their face, they will act on your face.
You riducule other players in the media, you will get crucified in the media.
TO does not get ANY sympathy from me. It will be a pleasure to arrange two appointments for him with S. Taylor thank you very much.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

I have respect for TO and he is right.
Its not right for the media to label him "selfish for playing hurt and labeling someone like Brett Farve a hero in the same circumstances.
