Best Commercials

Post by air_hog »

i though the Ameriquest ones were pretty funny (you know where they said they dont judge too early or something). I also thought the Job Finder adds with all the monkeys were pretty good because the human actor was great. Overall, id say the commercials were about a 7 out of 10.

I also thought the Paul McCartney half time show was better than i thought it would be. it was pretty cool when they busted up the Nana Na Na signs during Hey Jude.

I can't believe he tore off an article of clothing like that, though. No consideration for the children. Tsk, tsk. :)

I got a chuckle out of the "don't judge" commercial with the cat, but I almost heaved when the Triple X commercial came on.

I was staggered to see Brad Pitt in a Heinekens beer commercial.

(ps...and delighted that I finally noticed the "edit" button after all these months!)

Came across this site tonight, which talks about the different ads: http://www.justwatchthesky.com/2005/

(In case anyone missed some of them, like I did.)

This year's ads, on a whole, were so subpar compared to previous years! I usually chuckle at a few...but not this year.

My top two:

1) The bloody cat (of course); and
2) The frozen dude at the wheel (that look was too cool).

I kind of liked the Fed Ex comercial with Burt Reynolds getting kicked in the groin by the bear. The Ameriquest ones were funny also. Overall though the comercials were weak.

What about the ED commercials - I am soooooo sick of these. Not to stur up a hornets nest, but which is easier to explain to your kids - a boob popping out or "Daddy, what's and Erection?"

And I know GF - it's one of those toy sets that you can build all sorts of stuff with.

I liked the motorcycle gang commercial. "There's a good salad bar a few miles down."

Overall I was disapointed. I liked the Bud ad with the sodiers in the airport.

Interesing side note: The NFL convinced FOX to pull the GoDaddy.com add for the 2nd half DURING THE GAME!!!. They also had them pull a 5 second "brought to you by..." spot.

I missed the bloody cat one...dangit!

I liked the skydiver ad...the McHammer ad was pretty cool....as was the Mustang ad.

I'm with you, NC....the ER commercials gotta go. My wife and I have to talk over commercials that discuss 4 hour erections....that's just not right. I don't want to spend SB Sunday explaining to our 9 year-old son what an erection is.....let alone a 4 hour erection! :)
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.

I guess I liked the one where all the characters from the different products were in the same commercial.
Mr. Clean was doin' the dishes !
I thought the Ford one with the frozen guy was lame, especially since they aired it like, four times in a row during and after halftime.

The funniest commercial was the one where the guy was on the phone in the convienience store saying you're getting robbed, then he gets beaten up by the store owner and his wife.

The godaddy.com one or whatever it was probably the best though just because it had one of the hottest girls I have ever seen in my life.

While that may not have been a "funny" commercial, it was certainly the "BEST" commercial of the whole day....by far.
