Very important as it will effect our draft and FA moves.

i wouldnt count on mccants to be a solid number 2... he's best suited to be a #3 guy who is able to come in and line up in the slot. hey, just my opinion though.
May #21 never be worn again by another Redskin but may every Redskin play like they are wearing #21 on their backs.

#2 or #3 I think McCants should be playing. Whether that happens or not is still to be seen. Have to wait and see what the plan is.

If McCants wasn't even the 4th receiver on the depth chart how do you expect him to leapfrog everyone and become our number 2 wideout?

McCants is a decent #3 wideout at best, no way he can be a starter, we need to look elsewhere for a starter this next season.

McCants is a young Reggie Wayne or Chris Chambers, a physical reciever that can make big plays but can't be counted on to catch every pass. He's a great 3rd option for a young quarterback.

wayne is a number 2 guy right now and chambers ia a #1.. i get what you are saying though but mcants wont be on their level anytime soon, in my opinion. he would have been playing more if the coaches thought he would have contributed... fact is, he can't play special teams and thrash and taylor can. he will always be at least the #4 or 5 guy on this team if thrash is here next year. too bad the skins couldnt trade 50/50 for clayton of tampa bay. he's a good young possesion reciever who will only get better.

no way! darnerian mcHANDS almost NEVER drops. he has the best hands of any WR on the team, without question. i don't know what the guy was talking about.

I'm still a bit confused as to why he was so low on the depth chart this season (Jacobs must have been fantastic in practices). But in terms of pure receiving skills, it doesn't matter that McCants hasn't performs in practice or on special teams. Again, in terms of pure receiving skills, he has shown that he's got what it takes to perform on Sunday. The man's TDs/Receptions ratio is ridiculously high--his hands are golden in the red zone.

Gardner has more hype, I'd put McCants at his level or better. I hope he gets more shots on Sundays next season.

Well... Coles is obviously better. #2? Kind of want James Thrash there.

#3 spot it is! Wait, no... Kind of want Taylor Jacobs there.

No way McCants even cracks the top 3 next year. Depending on who we bring in, and we definitly will bring in a premier wideout whether through the draft or FA, Coles will either be #1 or #2 and Taylor Jacobs will bo our third wide receiver. We need receivers that can get seperation from defenders, not another Rod Gardner type guy.

Well, it looks like Gibbs has decided to upgrade the WR corps by allowing Gardner to seek a trade and stating that "WR is a high priorty" in the offseason. Either through FA or the draft we will be acquiring a top flight receiver. That doesn't bode well for McCants.

What are you basing this on? A dream you had?

The fact that Darnerien has consistently caught the football every chance he's got.

Wayne is a great #2 b/c he plays with Harrison (a great #1), Chambers is not a #1... that is one of the big problems with Miami right now... they are trying to get by with Chambers as a #1... Chambers has never had a 1,000 yard season in his career... (Rod Gardner has)...

I am not a McCants hater... but he is the most over hyped player on our team... He did well that one year when spurrier was throwing the ball 50 times a game... but so did Derrius Thompson... he looked good that year... and the Dolphins took him to be a #2 and he can't get on the field there either... McCants is just average... Good hands, Good size... but nothing special...

We need to get Jerry Porter....
See right now I'm on lettuce... Pretty soon I'll be on fries... After that.. The grill... And after that... Comes Assistant. Manager.... and That's When the Big Bucks roll in!

but if he's such a stud, why is Davis letting him get away?

Wow! A professional football player can catch a football? Someone call Ripley's!

Saying that McCants is better than Gardner ought to be grounds to have a person committed.

How is Porter even a possibility? Isn't he a 25 year old stud for the Raiders? Why would they let him go?

He's not that much of a stud anymore. I would pass on him.
