Lavar Arrington

Post by redskins56 »

Wanted to let you all know that Lavar Arrington has made it known on many occassions that he wants people to refer to him as L.A. Nation...

I don't know if you have noticed, but I have been doing since I got on, because I learned about it in training camp. So if all of us here @ the hogs.net start calling him it, and it spreads to Skins fans, we can say we put the nickname he desired on the map for him.

"L.A. Nation", huh?

I was thinkin' "L.A. GAP MISSER" or "L.A. BLOWN ASSIGNMENT"

Ahhh....I digress.

Next year will be a new year, under a new coach...so I guess I can cut him some slack.

I'll stick with the "LA Nation", for now.

Well since you have over 100 posts now, I figured that you'd wanna start your crusade with your avatar.

:-)

Why don't you get a big sign made up that says L.A. Nation on it for camp? I'm sure he'd come over and sign it for you. Get one of those nice signs, with the vinyl lettering.

Darned kids ! Didn't you read "Watch Those Threads" ?
(How'm my doin', 666 ? :D )
Is LA Nation supposed to be a nickname for LaVar personally, or his cheering section (i.e. "Art Gallery") ?
I ask only because this is the first I've heard of it. I'm not really able to catch the local coverage, so I don't get the neat interviews and snippets, etcetera. Forgive my ignorance.

I've never heard of L.A. Nation (although I do like it) but in some article I read about him (in SI, I think), it was revealed that his real nickname is Shaddy

I prefer "LOLB#59" (or whatever it was that they were forced to call him in Madden 2004).

Though L.A. Freelancing Assignment Blower works for me as well.

"L.A. Nation"? What's wrong with "Lavar"? That nickname is a little over the top, anyone agree?

I agree completely Philly. I noticed at this years training camp that Lavar thinks he is above everyone. Think of a nickname that includes the rest of your defense man. It is a "team" game. Sorry if this isn't popular opinion. I just cannot deal with his Lavar All mighty attitude when he wasn't stand out this year.

I think Lavar will be a lot better under Williams' tutilage this year. He needs a brilliant defensive mind like Williams or Marvin Lewis to really excell. Gibbs will put his ego in check for him- I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Actually, i think Lavar being bigger than the team is not his own doing, nor is he to blame.

The people just love the guy!!!!

Oh and RF, sorry didn't know what you were asking.... you are now one of the elite century club, and get your avatar instead of swine etc... each thing has to have an individual symbol so that each person gets their own different avatar.

I guess the BossHog can be allowed his dalliances, going outside of post topics.
Still, "Diesel" ? Too Sweet ! Man, if that's available, grab it !
