TJ should get interest around the league

LAST UPDATE: 1/20/2005 1:18:49 PM

The Redskins and Giants are in the market for a big-play wide receiver. Two wide receivers should be especially appealing to Washington: Muhsin Muhammad (Panthers) and TJ Houshmandzadeh (Bengals). Muhammad performed impressively this season, but he'll be 32 when the 2005 season begins. Houshmandzadeh has the speed to get downfield and also might be a good choice for the 5-yard out patterns Joe Gibbs likes to call. The Giants might also consider Houshmandzadeh, as well as the Steelers' Plaxico Burress and the Raiders' Jerry Porter.

I've said it before and I'll say it again ...TJ Houshmandzadeh would be perfect with Coles

I think Porter is a 'walking accident'. I prefer Moose over TJ because he's got better hands. Buress is a big man, his hands need work though... good post bro!

Marvin may not let TJ go anywhere...

Up there? I resemble that remark :0). He's not too old to make plays. He's no Rice or T. Brown. He's got three or four good years left in him. He's very tough, worksout like a madman and catches the friggin ball if it's in his zip code. Yeah, I like him a lot :0)

We have some good wide outs on the roster that need more playing time, Taylor Jacobs, McCants, with more playing time they could be very good but they might make a play for a free agent with game breaking speed but you must have a passing game to justify a high price free agent, if we get one you know the passing game will be fine tuned .

Doesn't TJ have a beef with Sean Taylor? Would we really want that kind of problem in the locker room?

....my thoughts exactly. I wonder if TJ would even consider coming here after that.

I like Burress. I know he may need some "Coaching up", but I like his size, speed, and play making abilities.

TJ shoved Taylor once without taylor doing anything... Taylor might "accidently" break TJ's legs and fingers in practice.

Money solves a lot of problems and I think that TJ would give a rat's a$$ about playing with Taylor if he gets one of those Dan Snyder free agent signing bonuses.

Why not Porter? He's a big guy and fast...6'3" and 220. He's also only 27 and was born in DC...I think it's a good match for us. Especially after the Raiders trade for Randy Moss (how dumb are they?). They'll let Porter walk.

TJ is under 200 lbs and who can pronunce his name?

Moose is 32 and it's pretty well proven that it isn't a good idea to give lots of cash to guys over 30 -- regardless of who they are.

Burress -- I don't believe he's a Gibbs kind of guy.

I dont want to see Plax in a Redskins uniform and neither do I want TJ... He might end up being a free agent bust, similar to what happened with Justin McCareins (one good season, got big money, not enough production)... I wouldn't object to getting Porter but I think Muhammad's out of our price range

I doubt the Panthers will try to skimp on Moose - but if they do, a solid four year deal could work under a tight cap.

So where is Patrick Johnson these days? I'd love to give him another chance if he is cheap and we don't get someone else.

He has speed that can force teams to account for deep.

If I remeber correctly, TJ accused Taylor of spitting in his face. Thats pretty bad. TJ made some really badass catches this year, he'd be a good addition to the WR position.

Beef ? You mean like Clemens and Jeter ?
Once you become team mates, all that changes.
When I was involved with the high school program, there was this little db named Eugene Melendez that everybody playing on our team just hated. It seems he was so small and fast that he'd break up just about another "sure thing" play, and then tease and cajole the guy he victimized. If somebody confronted him, half his team would come on the field to protect him.
Well, guess what ? His dad got a better job closer to NYC, and he transferred to our school. Right away, the AD went after him. He came to practice, and just blew everybody away with how hard he worked on the practice field, running extra sprints and hitting the weights with the linebackers. It turned out that he was a great team mate, and that his mouth was something he backed up 100%. When we played his old school, he stayed on our sidelines, and broke their balls as badly as he'd broken ours.
The point is, appearances can be deceiving. Once you get a guy on your side, everything changes.

Moose would be a good pickup for you guys. Being a fan of a team that plays him twice a year I can attest that he'll be a playmaker for you guys. Sign him to a 2-3 year deal and your good.

TJ Housmawhatever = Peerless Price

Stay far away from TJ... he will be a bust when he isn't playing with Chad Johnson... just like Price is a bust without Moulds...

On pure ability and style I like Porter... but something tells me that guy is cancer....

Mushin is the best option but he is in the same boat McCardell was in last year... they both are great but just too old....

Spend the money on the O-line and start Jacobs...
See right now I'm on lettuce... Pretty soon I'll be on fries... After that.. The grill... And after that... Comes Assistant. Manager.... and That's When the Big Bucks roll in!

I think he's a lot better than Price - but i GET THE jist of what you're saying bro. I like the Moose- and I don't think he's as old as his age might state. He keeps himself up pretty well and recovers quickly.
