Kiper's Mock Draft

Mel Kiper released his first mock draft today and he has us picking Braylon Edwards with the 9th pick. Obviosly the draft isn't for another few months and the combine hasn't even taken place yet, but I really hope that we end up taking him with our pick. I watched most of the Michigan games this year and was really impressed with Edwards. He would make a great addition to out team and really help our offense.

2004- 87 catches, 1221 yards, 14.0 ypc, 12 td's
2003- 85 1138 13.4 14
2002- 67 1035 15.4 10

the numbers look prety good, but as BigSkinNig said he might be another gardner.
even if he was gardner was good in the beginning,so if we sign ewards with a rookie deal and get wat gardner did for a while were set.

Please not another first round WR....Howard, Westbrook, Gardner...I can't take another one!

Jury is still out on Jacobs (I know he was a 2 pick, but he was our first pick that year).

I like the pick! Edwards has been Randy Moss like in his ability to win those jump ball situations. IF Gibbs uses him correctly, he will be a TD machine! Mark my words.

I'd definitely be pleased to get Braylon but we should make Mike Williams our top priority.

I think Braylon would be the better pick over Williams or trade back for a 2nd and take Troy Williamson. Remember Keyshawn is Mike Williams' role model. Never good.

They did a big story about it his freshman year at USC on Sportscenter.

'Tis true...but you guys(like everyone else) neglect to mention that Keyshawn has changed over the years.

He was the quintessential Me Me Me guy early in his career (Many would say up until he won in TB), the book (Which I thought was hilarious) and his squabbles with certain teammates. But don't jump on him for what happened in Tampa in 2003. That was just a case of two big egos (Gruden) and the city wasn't big enough for both of them. Of course the coach was gonna win.

You don't see Keyshawn Johnson calling out teammates and coaches anymore. You don't see Keyshawn Johnson trying to show up whole teams by doing some ridiculous dance. You don't see Keyshawn Johnson "mock" mooning people. The worst thing Keyshawn Johnson did this year was when Browns SS Earl Little had that late hit on Terry Glenn, and Key came over and kneed him in the head. It cost us a first down (and 4 points) but I loved it. It's been a long time since someone on the Cowboys O had a set of balls.

That said, Key has shown Mike Williams (who has always been pretty mild mannered) what NOT to do when he gets to the show.

If you get either of those two WR's, I'll be legitimately scared of the Redskin Offense...permitted the QB can get him the ball :lol:

Good point, Primetime. The article on Key in ESPN a few editions back was enlightening. I just hope Mike Williams isn't the early immature Keyshawn.
