Rumors
Smoot to Kansas City and Mushin to the Redskins. I hope we don't sign him is too old and we should adress this need in the draft. Its our most pressing need we are getting Lavar back so our pass rush will still be better and center you don't draft until the second or third round.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh is an interesting thought. This kid came on strong at the end of the year. Not sure if he's a #1 guy, though. Mushin is too old. I hope we don't go after him.

I don't think we should go after Houshmandzadeh or Muhammad. I heard on NFL Live the Redskins wll be seeking a trade for Randy Moss.

i hope we get moss... its doubtfull because i dont think anyone would want lavar traded
Please! This Moss rumor is so far fetched! It is "fun" to speculate but you have to be kidding if you think there is a chance of this really happening.
If you think that, you are only showing how little you know about what has happened here in the last year and during Gibbs first go-round.
Gibbs is in charge! Nobody is going to make him bring in this guy! He is trying to get back into the game! I think he has made a great start but there is obviously a lot of work to do.
He would love the talent at WR but there is nothing Gibbs has done in all of his years here that would indicate that he will add a "situation" to this program that would occur if he were to bring in a Moss or a TO type of player to this team at this time.

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Ha, funny! I had not heard the Moss rumor yet. Sounds like a deal the Dan would love to make. But gotta agree with SkinsJock. Randy Moss is not a Joe Gibbs type player. Moss is literally the Anti-Monk.
Personally I think we've got our #1 in Coles. He continually shows alot of guts in games, makes the catches and hangs on when he is hit. He just needs a solid #2 to help take the pressure off him.

Smoot may get tagged. But he's got to be realistic about his demands for salary too. The market for CB's is small, Woodson and Smoot are the only two that come to mind. I hope he wants to remain a Skin.
As for Moosh Muhammed - I'm all for it!
He's big, catches EVERYTHING, and scores TD's. He's a goto guy and he's tough. A bit older than the average guy - but the age thing is overrated.

I like T.J. Houshmandzadeh for a younger FA. He did come on strong late in the year, but still has a lot to prove.
The Moose on the other hand has proved himself this year and in past years. The age factor is BS; here are Rice and Brown's stats from the age 32 to 37 "yes I did posted them before if you did see them, sorry" I know their a few levels above Moose but the point is, guys can be very productive thru the ages 32-37.
Tim Brown: Games Rec Yds TDs
1998 Oakland 16 81 1012 9
1999 Oakland 16 90 1344 6
2000 Oakland 16 76 1128 11
2001 Oakland 16 91 1165 9
2002 Oakland 16 81 930 2
Jerry Rice:
1994 San Fr 16 112 1499 13
1995 San Fr 16 122 1848 15
1996 San Fr 16 108 1254 8
1997 "Only played two games"
1998 San Fr 16 82 1157 9
1999 San Fr 16 67 830 5

I agree with all but....Mushin is too old the last few years he has improved each year.
I think T.J. might workout as a replacement for 50/50 even if he's not a #1 because he'll make Coles better and vice-versa.
But there is the Saen Taylor thing......
