Heath Miller to Enter NFL Draft

Post by GoSkins »

UVA, All American, John Mackey award winner, 6'5" 255 lb TE. Great blocker and great receiver. Perfect as our everday TE with Cooley at HB.

I disagree. Cooley is looking good and we have more pressing needs. I just think our biggest problem on offense is stetching the field, and a big 255 guys isn't going to do that.

Our most pressing problem is protecting the QB. Our OL (including our TEs) was mediocre at best this year. Remember they cut TE Rasby in mid season? Royal was our starter and while he played OK, Gibbs like to use 2 tight ends. Plus Cooley in not our TE, he is our H-Back.

The only way we're getting Miller is if we draft him in the first round... unless we find O-Line men and a pass rushing DE via free agency before the draft... I can't see them taking him...

Though you never know what Gibbs is thinking...

I agree Heath Miller is a 1st round pick. But at #9 I think Gibbs will trade down for a lower #1 and a #3. With a lower #1 we take Miller, then with 2 #3s we draft OG and C.

This doesn't take into account trading Gardner which should fetch a #3 or #4. Taylor Jacobs would fill his place and he and Coles can stretch the field.

I think Cartright is gone and will be replcaed by a large body RB who will play behind Portis and Betts.

So offense will be upgraded dramactically, with a major upgrade of the OL and a short yardage RB.

Miller is my top TE. I don't think he'll be a pick for the Skins - too many other needs and Royal came on strong late in the season.

Miller is THE top tight end in the draft. He will make an immediate impact in the NFL. I really like this kid.

Miller is good but we have other needs first. If we traded down and picked up extra picks and Miller was still on the board late in 1st round. Maybe we take him, but I don't think that will happen.

I disagree... Simply b/c his first name is Heath - we don't need another one of those :-)

J/k - that dude is good.
