i dont think we should be taking a wide receiver with our 9th pick...

i dont think the talent at WR is as good as last year draft...

if we get abraham in the offseason, then i would love to pick on of these two guys up...otherwise take Mathias Kiwanuka, he has rediculous everything...and will be the only Dlineman that can chase donovan down...i hate donovan!

I believe both will be nice but realisticly they may not be available. Plus why pay a rookie wide receiver guranteed money and not know what to expect. I say we pick up Plaxico Burress and draft Antrel Rolle (CB- U. of Miami). Chances are that we are not going to resign smoot so why not go get someone who will certainly perform and probably add value to our defense. I also believe in picking up Burress simply because he is the type of receiver that need and dont have plus he has proven to be a physical receiver.

I think we aint givin Rod Gardner enough credit here. Ol'Hands of Stone aint too shabby now that Brunell is out.

But lets look realistcally...I really don't think Mike will be around for us...but if he is, why not get him, then get a good center. And yea...I will keep complaining about Center, because Raymer just is dissapointing me this year. He's a very weak link in a solid chain of OL men.

He will be 32 this year. He is still nice though.

Rumor is, he wants a lucrative deal before he retires.

NO!!!

I hope we don't. He's a good WR and its nothing against him but we have a tendency to over pay people. We need some youth on this team.

I agree. I'm tired of being the team that takes care of a player's retirement after they hit their peak. If Muhammad was 26 or 27 then I would be down with it.

why draft Williams for the millionith time? if we cant get it done with Gardner and Coles, how are we going to get it done with Williams and Coles? Williams and Gardner are identical players.

:hmm: Williams and Gardner are identical players? That is a possibility but how can you make that assumption, considering Williams hasn't played in the NFL? Nobody knows for sure how Williams will turn out but most scouts believe he is the real deal.

Williams could be the next Gardner, but he could also be as physical as Terrel Owens. T.O. is not fast but can make plays after the catch. Thats what we need with our short passes that we do all the time. A physical WR who can run over corners. :hail:

Gardner drops too many balls for an NFL WR. He has talent, keeps his mouth shut and tries to be a good player. He lacks focus on gameday - not a go-to guy.

The other big question is about Coles's toe. It might sound small - but that injury has hampered him for two seasons now. Any nagging injury takes a little focus from any player - especially over the middle when LB's and Safeties are sizing you up for a huge wallop!

Again, I doubt Williams will be there at #9 - unless there's a rumor about him prior to draft day. If he's there - it would be a STEAL!

Maybe Edwards and Gardner are identical players but Williams actually knows how to catch. Gardner doesn't and sometimes Edwards looks like he's in the twilight zone though normally he is very good. Williams puts glue on his gloves or something because he has some of the best hands I've ever seen. Never drops a pass, he is far more likely to catch a ball with his left hand than Gardner is using both his hands.

Maybe we trade the the #9 to the Vikings for Moss. The same way we got Coles.

Gardner and the #9 for Moss, sounds like a decent deal for us. BUT i don't believe anything about this rumor whatsoever.
5 in a row or we don't go!
