I love his ability while I hate his attitude. I really wish he would realize his potential, but I doubt he ever will. That being said, Randy Moss will never be a redskin while Joe Gibbs is our coach. Moss is the cancer that Gibbs preaches against.

We don't need flashy guys, we need hard working guys with heart. That's what Joe Gibbs is building here.

Look at the Pats and then look at the Vikings. I think the Pats model(what Joe is building) is the way to go ;-)

i don't think gibbs would ever approve of bringing moss to the redskins. he is the antithesis of a "gibbs-type player".

i think we should use next year to let our already-drafted WRs develop instead of wasting more time and money on another. jacobs could have a break-out season, and mccants needs to get a chance (and then take advantage of it) and prove he is a high-quality NFL #3 WR.

It would be great to have moss on our team. Ramsey can go deep and Moss has the speed. Moss is on another planet compared to Gardner.

Let's think Gardner or RANDY MOSS. I'll let you decide.

I don't think Moss will end up in Washington, but I would like to see Muhsin Muhammad suit up for the B&G. I think he is a Gibbs "type - player". Never in the Media, never does excessive TD celebrations, never crys for the ball and always does what's best for the team.

Well that would be a horrible decision to have to make, but I'd have to go with Gardner. I don't want either, but at least Rod just drops balls. He wouldn't ruin team chemistry like Moss does.

Moss isn't coming here because of Joe Gibbs. Moss is the type of player that Gibbs cuts for his work ethic and attitude, not the kind of guy he trades for. A players skill doesn't even get into the equation once Gibbs determines that the guy doesn't go 100%. What would happen if Joe got Moss, let him do what he wanted, and then tried to crack down on other players?

Moss has excellent work habits, all those catches aren't all God given.

He attends speed camp and every other camp there is to improve his speed/ hand eye coordination.

He picked that up from Chris Carter.

But....could he become a core Redskin??

first of all
we would never trade lavar
i could see lamar and gardner being traded for moss
but then pat is too conservative
so if we get moss then gibbs would have to come up with some plays for moss and our offenseive problem is solved
Defense wins championships

Yeah, right. He's an old man now. He wants a big payday. He's the only one I wouldn't consider. "What's best for the team" is that he goes someplace far, far away.

attending speed camps doesn't mean he has an excellent work ethic. He runs bad routes(blazing straight down the field is not a route) and he takes plays off that aren't going to him. That is a very very bad thing. Tips the defense off right away. Don't get me wrong, the guy is a stud WR. Unfortunately, that's just not good enough IMO. Taking plays off as a WR is just about the worst thing you can do in the NFL IMO.

He definitely couldn't be a core redskin. He just doesn't have the drive to work his butt off for the team...

Of all the FA WR's, Mushim is the one I would want lol. But, he's asking too much. If he came in for a couple mil a season, he'd be very much worth it. Unfortunately he wants to get paid, which he deserves, and he will. Just not from us.

Plaxico has huge upside as well, but he reminds me of Moss and Gardner combined. Drops some balls and seems a bit lazy like Moss is. I might be wrong on this though, cause I haven't seen a whole lot of him. Just got that impression in the limited action I saw him in. He'll probably be looking for a payday as well...

There all looking to make more money, whether they deserve it or not. I threw Mushim out there because I couldn't find a list of possible FA at the time of the post. He was the first decent WR, "age a side" that pop in my head. I'm not a huge Plaxico fan and Moss isn't leaving the Vikings. If he does it will be with another team and I highly doubt Joe push to bring him to Washington.

I know it’s too early to tell but who else is a possible FA this year. If these guys are the only ones worth looking at, we better pick someone up in the draft.

I think you missed my my point entirely.

He is motivated to get better by all means nessecesary, that to me is good work ethic, no matter what the surroundings

Getting Moss would be a very, very good thing.

I know the guy is a bit of a headcase but so is T.O. Having Moss would completely spread out the field and give our other WRs, Cooley, and most of all Clinton Portis a lot more room to operate. Put Moss on our offense and factor in one of the best defenses in the NFL and we could have a hell of a team next year.

The thing I think that bothers me the most is that I don't believe Moss could ever be a core guy, RSC. He's too much into himself. Remember when he zipped off into the locker room just before the end of the game ?
He'd be a hired gun. We can do better than buying somebody else's headache.

Joe Gibbs wasn't around when Randy Moss came into the league up to the point where Randy decided to ride around town with something new on his hood. Because of that fact Joe will ask lots of questions and dig deep before making a decision on Moss

If by some fluke and we do get a shot at Moss......

Joe will hear words like "Locker Room Cancer", "Me First", "headache" and/or "headcase" that Gibbs will pass on him no matter how much "The Danny" will want to get him

Up till last game when Moss left the field he had not gotten any real media attetion this year(bad attention). He has improved a lot with not taken plays off, he has turned into more of a team player and a good blocking WR. He has not been taking plays off like in the past years. This year he has improved his work ethic but set out a couple games do to injury. Then losing to us he gets frusterated and walks off the field. Now I was at the game and I did not even notice nor after the game did anyone mention Moss leaving the field. So in my opinion people need to back off of Moss and theres no way the Vikes will let him go anyways. So back to the drawing board for a WR.

There are 2 very good reasons that Moss will not be here.

The cap $money$ involved to both teams.

This guy is not going to fit here, end of story!
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
