Redskins Radio (and all NFL) on Sirius

Post by gridironmike »

Guys, I just wanted to remind you that you can get the Redskins Radio Network (or any other NFL team) on Sirius Satellite Radio with their Sirius Sunday Drive. Subscriptions are $12.95 a month OR cheaper if you commit to to a half-year or longer. Go to http://www.sirius.com/mininfl/SiriusNFL.html to find out more about the NFL programming. A great place to discuss Sirius sports (or music) can be found a http://www.siriusbackstage.com.

I've got it with DishNet, but no NFL radio with it. I leave the metal station on all day, haven't even tried the others.

I had Sirius in a Hertz rental when I visited Texas last summer. It was all-around OK. Would I pay $13 per month for one receiver? Hmmmmm.

I just borrowed my dad's Sirius reciever. It's pretty cool. A little complicated to operate while driving, though.

I wish I had XM, don't they carry all the MLB games?

I want to listen to the World Champion Boston Red Sox!

Hmm, like the Wendy's guy...I guess so. I am just a fan of satellite radio. I live in rural West Virginia. There is NO sports radio other than local high school football and basketball games. SAT is where its at!

I have been an XM subscriber for a few years and I love it. For what I want, XM is a better product. Plus now I get to hear all the Braves and Nationals games!

Having just started playing around with Sirius, and having not had a chance to test out XM, what do you think makes XM a better product "for you?"

I like the talk radio channels, the music and the fact that they have NASCAR and college sports. I am a fan of the Big 10 and ACC and both are covered exclusively. They now also have the MLB contract. The reciever, boombox and listening options are cheaper and easier to use than Sirius. I really weighed both out before my purchase and have since played with a friends Sirius. That same friend will be selling it and joining the almost 3 million on XM.

I know Sirius does get NCAA basketball games, because I've happend by some in the short time I've had my Dad's reciever. One thing I like about Sirius is, even though it's more expensive, the technology is supposedly a bit better. For instance, they allocate bandwidth as needed to different stations, supposedly leading to higher quality. I definitely would like to check out XM sometime, but I do like the idea of having the football games, since I can only get Redskins Radio on a poedunk AM channel down here.

the football would be nice, but it in the fall and winter I am usually in front of the television on Sunday so the radio part isnt as important as baseball in the spring and summer when I am golfing, fishing, etc.
