With the contract up in the air, I am not sure Smoot is going to be back. They are already talking about Walt Harris as the next starter. Smoot is said to be looking for between $10-15 million guaranteed money and he'll probably get it. I hate to see him go because he always played tough but the big contract on this team is already tied up with Lavar and Portis.

Smoot will almost Definitely be gone. I would love for him to be here but for the money he is asking for he is not worth. He has said and done all the right things but hopefully the redskins are not in the business of giving money away anymore. If you want to be here you can make it happen and negotiate something reasonable. I dont see Smoot being a force at corner for anyone. If we can lose Champ and be ok. I think we will be fine without him. I hope Smoot test the market and comes to his senses and comes back. But, I'm sure someone will pay him something crazy.
