Who besides Smoot and Pierce, or any other current redskin do you want to be a redskin next year.

It can be a free agent or draft pick.

As far as current Skins go, I want us to re-sign Joe Salave'a, Demetric Evans, Lemar Marshall, Antonio Pierce, Fred Smoot, Ethan Albright, Rock Cartwright, Joe Salave'a, and James Thrash.

especially Thrash, that guy might be the most underated on our team. I hope he stays because he is becoming one of my favorites.

Joe Salave'a has been playing pretty well, but the guitar dance has got to go.

Here's an interesting column from Peter King MMQB today:

Note: Original-->Prospected New Team - reason, sorry with this, it would be much easier to have a grid.

2005 Free Agents

John Abraham DE N.Y. Jets-->Houston -Need sacks
Kendrell Bell LB Pittsburgh-->Kansas City -Desperate for D
Shaun Alexander RB Seattle-->Arizona -Denny needs a runner
Jonas Jennings T Buffalo-->N.Y. Giants -Petitgout's a weak link
Plaxico Burress WR Pittsburgh-->Baltimore -Uh-oh. Ben's best bud.
Muhsin Muhammad WR Carolina-->Washington -Snyder makes him fit
Pat Williams DT Buffalo-->Chicago -Bears need a stuffer
Rudi Johnson RB Cincinnati-->Cincinnati -Marvin won't lose him
*Najeh Davenport RB Green Bay-->Miami -Saban needs a back
Keydrick Vincent G Pittsburgh-->Arizona -Real run-game masher
T.J. Houshmandzadeh WR Cincinnati-->N.Y. Giants -Eli begs for a wideout
#Ty Law CB New England-->Oakland -Al's sick of Woodson
There's a term for my signature, REDSKINSESQUE!!!

Did you see the push Salavea was getting on Birk? He has been consistent all year, I really hope we resign him.

If we can't resign Smoot I'd like to see us draft Antrel Rolle. If Smoot stays then I hope that we draft Braylon Edwards or Erasmus James.

King says Keydrick Vincent is a "real run game masher"

Now THAT is what the Redskins need to get this offseason.

what if we get mushin muhammad in free agency, and then john abraham in free agency also...would you draft a center as our #9 pick?

Two reasons why I hope we don't sign M. Muhammad:

1) He's in his 30's...let's continue signing younger guys to the bigger contracts.
2) He isn't a guy who spreads the field...we need a fast guy, we have plenty of possession WR's.

That guard from Pitts sounds outstanding -- let's spend some money on that guy...wonder if Russ Grimm would let him leave Pitts??

yeah i dont know why i said that we could get mushin muhammad. that would be a bad idea. i still think that we need a defensive end though, i would love to get david pollack. if we could get john abraham in free agency and braylon edwards or williams fall back to 9th we could draft one of them there. or we coudl trade back and maybe get elton brown and get a secound round pick and a third rounder from a team. plenty of options

You don't use that high of a pick on a center. Of all the O line positions, center is the one where you most need an experienced player. If we draft a center it'll be after the first round.

I agree this should be done first, then I'd pick up a couple of these guys

WR David Patten New England Patriots UFA
WR Plaxico Burress Pittsburgh Steelers UFA
WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh Cincinnati Bengals UFA
TE Bubba Franks Green Bay Packers UFA
TE Cam Cleeland St. Louis Rams UFA
T Bob Whitfield Jacksonville Jaguars UFA
G Tom Nutten St. Louis Rams UFA
G Marco Rivera Green Bay Packers UFA
T Jermane Mayberry Philadelphia Eagles UFA

My greatest wish is to keep the current roster, minus Brunnell, or with Brunnell's compensation scaled back to something in line with his current talents.

Then a a few: OL -- a true Hog -- and a WR -- let's dream and imagine Charley Taylor / Art Monk III: big, tall, strong, fast, killer blocker, holds the ball, is even more dangerous when he has the ball in the open field. OK, that's a wish...but why can;t it happen again?
