My thoughts (not that you care)
I was away for Christmas so I haven't had a chance to offer my comments on the game, but here goes.
DISGUSTING. Neither team deserved to win. You got to see why Cowboys fans are almost universal in their contempt for Testaverde. Teases with a great throw to Crayton at the end, but looks pedestrian at best the rest of the game.
The Cowboys defense isn't as bad as the numbers indicate. They're 9th in the league over the last 9 weeks, 5th over the last 6. 9 weeks corresponds with the benching of the second worst draft pick in Cowboys history, Tony Dixon (what the heck would make someone draft a player in the second round if he gets beat out for his starting spot halfway through his senior season???).
The injury to Smoot might actually prove beneficial to you. You'll be the only team with truly accurate information on the severity of the injury. It may drive his asking price down if teams shy away given the limited medical evidence they have.
Is anyone really sure that Ramsey's the answer? Tom Landry used to have a 3 year rule that if a player wasn't delivering by then, it was time to move on.
In summation, excluding the last few minutes, this has to go down as one of the most boring Dallas/Washington games in history.

After we were mathematically eliminated earlier, I was almost hoping for a loss.......Scratch that, it is still nice to beat the Redskins.
I'd hope for a Dallas loss vs. the VaGiants, but a win will only push us down from 12 to probably 14 at worst in the draft if it moves at all.
The loss got you the difference between Terrence Newman and Jimmy Kennedy.
I do expect some "leaks" from Washington in the next few days about how bad Smoot is, and statements from his agent that he could have started this week. The offseason started for both teams even before kick off.

Does not look good
You are -not- kidding.hailskins666 wrote:... its going to be a looooong day against culpepper and moss.

At least we are going to get to see other CBs other than Jimoh and give them a chance.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

We'll be fine. Moss is over-rated and Culpepper fumbles too much. If Testeverde and Crayton can't beat us, than .... oh......check that thought.
RIP 21

King is picking the Skins in an upset!
Minnesota at Washington
I keep hearing, "The Redskins are going to be without Clinton Portis and LaVar Arrington Sunday, so this looks like a Vikings win." Now just wait a cotton-pickin' minute. The Vikings have won outdoors on grass once, maybe, in our lifetimes. The Vikings had an easy set-up game last year in Arizona and choked it away. The Redskins have been playing without Arrington, for all intents and purposes, all season, and still are one of the two or three best defenses in football. And as for missing Portis, that's a loss. But Patrick Ramsey's got a good arm, the Vikes are 30th in the league against the pass and Antoine Winfield's not 100 percent.
Washington 21, Minnesota 20
What's gotten into fatboy?

God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.
#21 gone, but never forgotten.

Maybe we got to him...he's a decent guy. I coached in a Montclair, NJ, girls softball league that he worked very hard to keep together.
And maybe he noticed that the Vikings don't play that well outside on the grass in winter.
Which team will hit harder? I have seen the Redskins lose some games, but haven't seen them decisively out-hit by anybody.
