Elton Brown - Virginia

Post by 35yrskinsfan »

I'm loving this guy.
I think he'd be a great upgrade to the O-line and we might be able to trade our top 10 pick down to a later 1st round pick and maybe a second or third round and still get this guy.

I know a lot of folks want Williams (WR) but his not being involved with football for over a year has me worried and I don't like any of the other WR prospects.

I think he could be great, although he couldn't really stop my team in Blacksburg!

IMO, no way he'll fall to third round. He'll be taken late first or early second. I love this guy, he's big and a great athlete. I mean, I always knew him as a basketball player and he could really compete against top ACC power fowards and centers. IMO, he's a better basketball player than Julius Peppers was! Julius Peppers was nasty though, I always thought he'd bring down the rim one day but unfortunately I didn't get to see it. But to get back on track, when I saw Brown playing football this year I immediately said we gotta get this guy. He's an awesome run blocker. He's so fast he can really get out and throw some blocks and he's big too. He's a beast!

Thats why I'm thinking we can take our #7-8 pick, trade it for say #30 and a second or third round pick and select him at #30 and have an extra one in a later round.

D'oh, just realised that there are two different Elton Browns at Virginia, both seniors, both captains, one on the football team and one on the basketball team! That's like the twilight zone or something! How crazy is that! :)

Big E is a BAAAAAAAD MAN. He's got what it's going to take to play/start in the NFL. He's super! There are three or four OG's that will go in the first two rounds. Not sure any will go in the first - but Brown and Brooks are probably closest to First Rounders at OG.

Baas is another one that could go as a guard or center. The kid is like a road grader.
