Post by Redskins2k5 »

i bieleve that we most give Ramsey more targets next year. Here are some F.A. we should look into getting.

Plexico Burress
Jerry Porter
Muhammad(Carolina)
or
Mike Williams in draft

Muhammed has some good size, but I think I'd take Plaxico. Porter not a bad option, and might be the cheapest. I'd say no on Williams. Being out of football for a year and still being a rookie won't give us what we need right away.

I'd take Muhammed out of that bunch...he's a stud!

I can't see Carolina letting him go.
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.

Draft Mike Williams, that is all I have to say. Or the guy from Michigan Wr is by far our biggest need.

I have to admit, Edwards from that state up north is pretty good. He almost single handedly beat my Buckeyes. He should be a top ten pick. I don't watch a lot of college ball, but I would guess he would be the second WR picked. He flat out makes plays.

Come to think of it, he DID single handedly beat MSU. There was NO way that state up north should've won that game, but Edwards made it happen about 3 times in the fourth qtr.

plaxico and porter are cancer type players.. "me first" if we bring them in they will suck the life out of the team...

muhammed is a stud WR... but Carolina won't let him go... he is one of their "core" guys...

I'd like to see us get burress but at the same time the steelers are my hometown team and I would hate to see them lose their primary deep threat.

why would we upgrade? we have one of the fastest WR in the NFL in Laverneous Coles, Rod Gardner is a large and strong physical reciever, Darnerian McCants is a great redzone target, and James Trash has tons of heart. Plus we have Taylor Jacobs. we probably have one of the top 5 recieving corps in the league and if we cant get it done with them, we cant get it done with anybody.

gardner doesn't scare anyone, except us. other teams are probably praying we keep gardner. hell, you don't even have to put a corner on him in coverage, because he can't catch the damn ball in the first place.

Then why is our receivers can never seem to get open, but every other receiver in this league can? As soon as our guys make a catch, when they actually hold onto the ball, they're hit/tackled. That last completion yesterday was about as wide open as our guys ever are. Is it play calling or are our receivers just not getting the job done?

That comes from a non existant running game. I swear we stopped running the ball for about 2/4 of the game.

Lets say you get all the best receivers. Ramsey wont see them and if he did he will just hold the ball til he gets sacked. He cant move, cant see and cant throw straight. We have a rag tag line. They can all go except Randy Thomas and Jansen. Maybe next year they will open a hole. Raymer is done, Dockery is false start, Ray Brown is done. Lets draft two good linemen

i'd say lineman and a good tight end are our first needs. I think everyone is underestimating what a good pass catching tight end would do for the receivers. It would pull safety help off one of them and force the safety to play the tight end. That way we could take shots deep with one on one coverage and allow big plays to happen. Plus depth on the offensive line is a must. THen maybe look for a DE or maybe a fast playmaking WR .

agreed, we desperately need OL help and a good TE. i haven't been too impressed by portis this year, but i can't help but wonder is it really his fault? i mean, the guy's style is to find a hole right away and burst through it into open space, where he'll run for 15-60 yards. but it seems like there is NEVER a hole for him to run through with this OL.

i also really wonder about the WRs-- on paper, we have an elite group. but how is it that they're never open?? we have the best defense in the league and guys still get open on us pretty regularly. i feel certain that the offensive design and run game plays a big part (routes are too predictable, no running game lets the defenders just sit back, etc). but is it 100% responsible?

i don't pretend to know enough about football to really know the answer to that question. all i feel sure about is that gibbs's offense is just not working, and he needs to go back to the drawing board and come up with something new during the offseason. if he can't, hire a young OC. i know we have some problem spots but our players simply can't be THAT bad that we are this pathetic on offense.

I think your name should be Kiljoy. Ramsey won't see them and if he does he'll hold it until he gets sacked? I'm glad to see you have faith in our starting QB next year. Get him a freakin' line! Ramsey did better last year with the deep ball with "worse" protection. What's up with that? Our routes are predictable and our line cannot block, pass or run. Other than that, things are looking good.
