Danny may be a terrible personnel director or GM BUT he is NOT a bad business man. He has made money -even with the Skins losingseason after season...

a) 1,000 fans at 1 million, or better
b) 10,000 -shares- at $100K each or even
c) 50,000 -shares- at $20,000 each.

I REALLY think the offer would be attractive and DOABLE. I know I would be SERIOUSLY interested.

How about 91,000 (one for each seat in the stadium) shares to be sold at a rate depending on view of/proximity to the field. With the owners box going to the highest bidder.

.....Besides Danny's first (fantasy football) year, and the signing of Brunell (who Gibbs really wanted... I'm sure if Snyder wanted to pick a QB we would have gone after somebody else like Warner or Garcia) ....name me a player who we overpaid who wasn't playing good when we signed him?

Arizona hasn't won anything in years, they never go into a season with any hope, they switch coaches like underwear too...but hey... their tickets are cheap.... sounds like a winner for you.....

Trung Candidate for one. Is he in the league anymore? How about Trotter? How about Wynn? How about Jessie Armstead? How about Jeff George? How about Morton? If you would allow me that first terrible season under Snyder I could've name more, but I'll leave it at that.

Plus, the guys that do play pretty well are overpaid. I believe Coles and Portis fit into this category.

Danny signs guys who were playing well when we signed them?

HOW ABOUT AFTER WE SIGN THEM?

How about hiring a real GM?

as I do recall... Armstead and Trotter both we're comming off ProBowl years when we signed them... again... when did Snyder become a fortune teller?

Portis has 1300+ yards running behind a crappy O-Line... Coles has been playing injured all season, went through Brunell saga, and Ramsey getting back to playing... and still made 80 catches.... whats your point?

My point exactly. You can have a cheap owner, but if the organization is run correctly you will win. Maybe you like being the offseason champs, but I would rather win in January.

wrong again... we only had 2... a 9-7 season in 96, and a 8-7-1 season in 97... which by the way aren't winning seasons to brag about....

first you can't embrass BTP, I am able to admit when I'm wrong, when I am wrong.... and in response to the above

wrong again... 99 - Snyders first year as owner, we went to the playoffs... and 2 8-8 season which is just about as good as 8-7-1 unless we want to be picky....

Trust me, I want to win in Januray too... but the owner has nothing to do with winning, or even playing in January... that's the coaches and the players jobs.......

he didn't make the personnel decisions this year, Gibbs did....which aside from Brunell he did a good enough job on... with Brunell, sometimes you hit and sometimes you miss... he just happened to miss.. oh well.. la da de, la da da, life goes on....

Snyder didn't make any offseason decisions, I believe util after 1999 thats why he had nothing to with that 10-6 season.

You were calling the 2000 season his first season yourself earlier in the thread.

In fact, maybe thats why we did so well that year, because nobody was in power to shake things up.

I never called that his first season... I said his first season as in offseason seeing how he really doesn't have much to do with the regular season....the offseason is his season...

to end this debate... your picking on a guy who has done nothing but try to get this team to win, has he done it the right way all the time... no... but his learning how to operate in the NFL has progressed, and I can't see how you can disagree with that...

your getting huffy and puffy about this season, which other than sign players that Gibbs wanted... he had nothing to do with... so I can't see how he is blamed for this season at all, unless you are referring to him hiring Joe Gibbs... which in that case... I'm sure you'll find others who disagree...

Besides... complaining about Snyder is a waste of time... he's here for the long haul... It's his team... we can't impeach him... so your complaining about him needing to be gone is like complaining that your living room walls don't dance... it's just not gonna happen...

I'd give snyder some credit guys. He brought in joe gibbs. That says enough. And if you look at past two years i'd say we did a damn good job of player personel.

We've picked up bowen, springs(who everyone thought was washed up), barrow (yet to see him play so no judgement), salvea' and griffin to anchor the line, and re-signed pierce last year.

On offense sure we made a bonehead move to pick up brunell but nobody thought he was going to be this bad. Sure, some thought we gave up too much for him but I think everyone at the beginning of the year thought he had something left, maybe not a great year but he'd be able to complete some passes. But of course he proved us wrong. Anyways, we got portis and re-signed mccants, made a great trade for thrash (bet philly is regretting that now), picked up randy thomas, drafted dockery in a late round (even if he isn't a good starter he'll make a great backup.

We also signed tom tupa and john hall, two excellent special teams players when healthy. Sure morton hasn't shown much but u can't shoot 100%, its impossible.

Plus I think last years draft netted us some future pro-bowlers in sean taylor and chris cooley. Not to mention we have a capable backup in wilson and a bugel project in morilono.

All in all I think our offseasons have been good, one more year like this and we'll have all the pieces in place. The problem with the skins is continuity and winning when it counts. That is something we need to translate onto the field. We have a talented team to win with, now we just have to do it. I think this year was a good step for the skins but another big step must be taken next year, a winning step. THe players understand the system now, its time they started executing it

I'm not getting huffy and puffy about anything other than you telling me to be a Cardinal fan. The bottom line is what has Snyder's offseason spending sprees won us? Nothing. I don't know how you could argue otherwise. All I want is to see what could happen if he left things alone for awhile and let Gibbs work his magic. Is that too much to ask?
