Dallas ROG Andre Gurode vs. Washington LDT Cornelius Griffin
Gurode played so poorly against the Eagles last week that he was benched for three drives in the middle of the game before returning to action. While he will continue to start, he'll have trouble handling Griffin, who is the Redskins' best defensive linemen.
Gurode doesn't have great lateral mobility, and he tends to have trouble sliding with athletic one-gap defenders in protection. Griffin isn't the most explosive defensive tackle in the league, but he flashes the ability to shoot gaps, and he's quick enough to beat Gurode off the ball. He also does a good job of staying active and will make it difficult for Gurode to sustain his blocks.
If Griffin can dominate this matchup on first and second downs, the Redskins should have little trouble keeping RB Julius Jones under wraps.
Anything can happen from a close-fought game to a blow-out.
We do not deserve to go forward if we do not beat that team in Texas. But I feel in my gut that we will.
Throuh thick and thin
Always a Redskin
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
Today is my b-day- was hoping for an awsome present. As usual, which is sad to say, we threw away another opp. Why can't we beat the cowpies? Anyone out there got a clue. Gibbs is the man, no doubt, so what is going on??? #2 defense, Ram-man is looking pretty good, so what gives? Does anyone else seem to notice the refs are out to help the cowpies every chance they get? Frustrating that there's nothing for a fan to doo!!!
