saban will officially coach stinky fish.

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

they've got an aging d and need some major rebuilding

why does everyone love Hisenga (sp?) so much...and say he's such a good owner?
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.

SABAN SAYS YES TO FINS

LSU coach Nick Saban has announced that he'll head to Miami as the new head coach of the NFL's Dolphins.

At a Christmas night press conference from Orlando, Saban declared that he'll accept the position.

The decision comes three days after the job was offered to Saban -- and nearly two weeks after the courtship began. During that span, the Fins' overt pursuit of Saban, at the exclusion of other legitimate candidates, has ruffled many feathers in Miami. Saban's foot dragging has caused even greater potential problems as folks throughout the NFL have developed a bad taste in their mouths for a guy who last had a pro gig in 1994.

As one league insider told us this afternoon, "This Nick Saban thing has become completely out of control. He likes attention even more than I thought. Have you heard of anyone with more information out there and more crap in the news? It's every job that he has been a candidate for, but this one takes the cake."

Saban at one point characterized the move as an agreement "in principle." Though in most cases such language wouldn't attract much attention, Saban's wishy-washiness could prompt some to conclude that Saban hasn't taken the job unless and until he shows up for work wearing orange and aqua.

Saban also said that the delayed acceptance resulted from his desire to tell his team in person of the move. But Saban also conceded that the agreement wasn't reached until Friday, two days after the offer was made.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that he won't be successful in Miami unless their talented draft picks come through in 2005.
