need help (computer)

I am having problems playing video clips on windows media player. I have the clips on my e-mail account (hotmail). I try to play the clips and a windows player error code comes up. Something about codocs or something like that. i downloaded media player 10 and it still didn't work. any advice?

Did it every work???? It might be a "corupt" file! Sometimes it will work with a different player though, like the RealOne Player. "Right Cilck" on the link & hit "open with", then hit "choose program" & try using something else, if that doesn't work it's probably just a bad file!

Where on the link do i do that? I right click and i don't see that option to open with another player.

Go to Divex.com and download the codec package there. I think its actually called DivX package. There are a couple, one that comes with a player, but you don't need it.

I downloded the dixex player and it still trys to open under media player. what do i need to do?
