Possible Pro-Bowlers
I was just checkin some stuff out, and besides our obvious Pro-Bowler possibilities like Portis (3rd in NFC rushing) and Griffin (Leads all NFC DT's in tackles and is second for all DLinemen) we do have a few guys who aren't talked about who very could end up in Hawaii:
1.) Lavearneus Coles is not a sleeper to us Hog fans, but has been dissed often this year because of dropped balls, etc. He is still second in the Conference in receptions with 76, and has more catches than everyone's favorite TO. His weakness is his one touchdown.
2.) Tom Tupa is currently second in the conference in avg. yards per punt, and trails Todd Sauerburn (who may end up in jail anyways) by only a tenth of a yard. He also leads the entire league in total punt yards by over 200 yards (which isn't saying much bout our offense)
3.) Shawn Springs is 7th among CB's in interceptions, 5th in tackles, and second among all DB's in sacks. (Thank God he's alright, watchin that hit I was worried for more than his career)
Also, Antonio Pierce is 6th in total tackles, but the chances of him making it are slim.
These were just my thoughts, whaddya think? Anyone I'm missing? I'm proud to have this many people from my team in contention.

Hopefully Tom Tupa goes to the Pro Bowl and talks to the media and criticizes Ramsey and Gibbs for not showing enough emotion and leadership.....
Then maybe Ramsey will come back and break Mannings soon to be record for TD's...
Yeah, That's what I want for X-mas...

Tupa is the best punter in the NFL - it would be a travesty for him not to go.
Pierce should go - but nobody knows him... get out the vote folks!
Randy Thomas is outstanding, bright and too good to forget too.
I think Marcus Washington is having a very good year too... another guy that should be there.
Springs and Smoot - I'm biased, but I wouldn't take any pair of CB's over these two.

Isn't that the truth.

I'm really hoping that one of our LB's makes it to the ProBowl. I'm assuming at least one defensive back (even Taylor, who I don't think will go, has a shot at it I think), and am also hoping that Griffin might make it. On offense I think we could get one pity player as an alternate.

HAHAHA! I'll buy the liquor if he'll drink it. I know Sauerbrun will (ooh, sorry if that's below the belt).
Griffin will be a Pro Bowler.
Pierce has to go, he's sixth in the NFC in tackles and has been awesome.
Springs definately has to go too.
Marcus Washington has a good chance.
Tupa might be there.
Otherwise I don't think anyone else will go. Portis, Smoot and Coles have outside chances but I don't think they'll make it THIS YEAR. Next year we're going to send the whole team.

Probowlers
First of all cornerbacks make the probowl off of passes deflected not ints cuz how are u gonna get ints if ur not thrown at???! which means ur shut down WRS which has been done. tackles really arnt that big either thats why u have safties and LBS ect ect. The league looks at the passes attempted ratio to passes completed, passes deflected, and then ints. so really sean springs and fred smoot should be in he probowl well one of them will go. happen but they Marcus washington should make it of his play making ability but doutful also and u cant forget u make the probowl from big plays made so I would say that Sean Taylor is the BEST COVER and hard hiting safety oh and play making safety in the NFL should go with no prollem! oh yeah chris cooley is listed as a fullback even though we dont have any "H Backs" is wha we callem he leads all FB in yards and no one is even close to his 5 tds!! I also think Chris Samuels will make that trip and randy thomas we join him as well thomas should had make it last year. Both combined they have given up no more than two sacks all year! and making history with clinton portis the first RB to rush for 1500yards 3 times back to back to back!! im sure he'll do that so all yall critics can kiss my and his ass and get off his back! im out those are very good possible probowlers!!

don't you have to be thrown at to get passes deflected?

When I did the fan voting for the pro bowl, Sean Taylor's numbers were pretty impressive. Any chance he might make the pro bowl as a rookie?

Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

OMG -- my sentiments EXACTLY!

Man -- I LOVE all this football talk! It's all so much clearer now!
Personally, I'd love to see Smoot or Coles get there!

anywho... Pro Bowlers... Smoot & Washington deserve a trip... although I'm sure with a 4-9 record.. our players aren't gonna get alot of attention...

The league may look at ratios and passes deflected and all that, but Joe Schmoe voters (like me) don't have time to do math. Don't get me wrong, I'd vote for Smoot every day of the week and twice on Sundays, but I don't think the people are gunna vote on him. You gotta have big stats. It aint right, but its the way it is usually.
