I can't stand Collinsworth. He is such an arrogant baffoon. He rarely knows what he is talking about and always finds a way to slip uniteresting facts about what he did when he played the game. He is a moron. I have to mute the TV when he is commentating. He never has opinions of his own and it ...

Under13,
Rod Gardner was labelled 50/50 by Bruce Smith in Rod's rookie season. It was because he dropped a crucial pass that lead to a loss (I can't remember which one) during that 0-5 start under Marty Schottenheimer. As great an athlete Bruce Smith was, I guess he was a cancer in the Redskins ...

I agree.

A good passing game leads to a good running game as well. The other team won't be able to stack the box with 8 defenders. Once we get respect for the pass, our running game is going to explode.
However, I still think Red Zone needs a lot of work. The passing game is totally different in ...

I don't see REDZONE on the poll. Therefore, I am not going to vote. We kicked too many field goals in the redzone last year. We need to punch it in.

We are set a RB with respect to all other positions. We are very deep here. Betts is a very strong backup who runs hard. We also have Cartwright who proved himseld two years ago. Chad Morton is there for a speed/3rd and long back. And John Simon is very ...

New Collective Bargaining Agreement

I know it's almost 2 years away, but I think Snyder is gambling on the new CBA to increase the salary cap by more than the annual allotment. This would solve some of our salary cap mess we might have in a few years. Here is a quote from bengals.com

"The expansion of revenues would clearly alarm ...

yes, but that's the point. Zach Thomas is 3-4 inches smaller. He has better leverage. Football is all about the low man winning the battle. Lemar has to put on at leat 15 pounds to be effective for his height.

Rocket Ismail burning the skins in overtime in 2000 (I think, second game of the season). That was the biggest bonehead play I've seen by the defense. Troy Aikmen pump faked the whole defense into going to the right, while Ismail came out the right side to score on the Cowboys first play from ...

This is what I don't understand though. If we are planning on signing Santana Moss to a $13 million signing bonus, why don't we have the room to sign a big name free agent like Law. If we don't sign Moss long term, wouldn't the logic insist that we have room to sign someone to an equivalent contract ...

Don't forget that Prioleau is about to sign with the skins. Where would he fall in? I think he would be ahead of Lott and Clark on the depth chart.

Well, the extra money is no problem... The Danny can take some change out of his pocket. But you're right Boss, the cap space is the problem.

Salary Demands

Can anyone tell me what kind of signing bonus Ty Law would be asking for?

I just think it would be a smarter idea to not give Santana a new contract and sign Law instead.

I know Law is washed up, but the Chiefs aren't in hot pursuit of him anymore, and we could sign him to a 3 year contract.

5 years ago, I dreamed that we acquired Doug Flutie from Buffalo (when he player there) and we played both Flutie and Brad Johnson at the same time. They would throw the ball back and forth behind the line of scrimmage and then eventually fire a bomb down the field. It worked everytime.

When you look at the talent we have on our roster, we are not bad off at all. We just tend to talk about needs rather than focusing on the positives.
We might had the best offensive line in football, and we might have the best runningback too. We have two pro-bowl caliber linebackers, two corners ...

I disagree slightly. As Tony Dungy stated, the new rules on pass defense really defeat the purpose of a true shut down corner. I would like to have a corner for more depth, however, I would prefer to enhance our weak offense with some talent before signing more defensive players.
