Here's the argument against allowing excessive, non-spontaneous celebrations: when do they stop?

So you let one guy pull a cell phone out and fake a call.

In the end, Steve McNair actually won the designation as Howie Long's Tough Guy (in a bit that appeared to have been filmed during the regular season or the playoffs when the team was actually still around). Ray Lewis got a fleeting mention as the "Viewer's Choice" and Patrick Ramsey got . . . not a ...

I also liked the Simpsons MasterCard ad--the capper was the pair of donuts coming together, and hearing Homer's patented "Mmmmm" turn to an "Awwwww" when they ended up forming the MasterCard symbol.

On the other hand, Stephen Davis at this stage in his career is really on the downslope of his term as a player and probably wouldn't be as helpful to Joe Gibbs at this point. He can't be relied on as the sole back--he always misses games with injuries.

I agree, Robert--from a technical standpoint, the Post columnists just have more skill. One or two of the Times columnists are actually hard to follow, which isn't a great compliment to somebody whose job involves making their opinions clear!

The Post seems to have a much better relationship with the team than the Times, and as Fios and others have pointed out, it is reflected in the tone (and kind and amount) of coverage that the they have, to both positive and negative effect.

Anyone know what Spurrier's problem was with Rob Johnson. I thought he was a decent QB, certainly a sound #2
My understanding was that he flat just wasn't picking up (or perhaps executing) the Fun 'n Gun the way Spurrier wanted him to.
