Here's the thing. He might would have been the highest paid QB, but wouldn't have been for long. Staffers, Ryan( I think) and others are coming due, and would match or surpass his deal. In a year or two, he might not have been top 8 in pay.

At the same time, we have NEVER lost at home on Thanksgiving.

Actually, since we did not extend him before the July deadline, they cannot negotiate until after the season. If they could, they would have worked on it.

Hopkins is in a slump. Gotta stand by him. He will get out of it. It happens. Dump him and he goes on to greatness elsewhere like 95% of other kickers we release.

I was referring to the original post about the "Sticking it to us". He used different words, but I was saying the same thing y'all are. It is a set schedule of who we play. We typically know all but maybe 2 of those teams a season or two before. Aren't two games SOS games?

No misprint. They only made that change last week becauseKearse was hurt. That was said to be the plan all along.
