Went to the game last night. My first NHL game and it was a blast. I hope to go to many more this season.. But the team looks really good. Varly was getting good saves and our Penalty kill seemed on point. Our offense will be good for years to come with Ovi, Semin, and Backstrum.

I had an epiphany yesterday which made it very clear in my mind that the problems with this team are not on the field but on the sideline with a coach who clearly is not up to the job.

The panthers might not be very good but the Eagles will be a contender this year.

Mr Landry reminds me of ST, I said it in the game day post. He's hotheaded and seems to go for the big hit too often. He's crazy fast and scary strong too.. He just needs to mature and keep his head straight.

Can't really ask for a better outing from out team. Can't say the same about our coach though. That play-calling was horrible. What was he thinking doing a runningback pass on 3rd down?? Come on. I could drink a handle of Vodka and call a better game than that man.
