They left it really open-ended but Gibbs did say Ramsey is the starter going into training camp.

The Patriots are Bob Kraft's team. He's a successful businessman. I live in Boston, you NEVER see him getting involved.

I'm sure Snyder is good at contract stuff but shouldn't he be leaving that to salary cap experts and those who can really assess the value of the player. Why doesn't he just ...

Uhhh....aside from being the owner, doesn't Snyder "work the numbers"on the contracts for the players drafted? While Joe has final say, Snyder is definitely involved in the process, though not as much as in the past.

He should probably keep his hands off that too. Take a look at our cap ...

I don't even think Snyder and Gibbs should be allowed at the same press conferences, unless Danny is introducing Joe. Don't you think people would think it was weird if Gibbs started answering questions about the new luxury suites at FedEx? It's just as weird for Snyder to be answering questions ...

SHUT UP DANNY!

Dan Snyder should NOT be speaking during a football-related conversation. If the press wants to talk promotions or seating or anything like that, fine. But shut up when it comes to football and the draft. Stop talking. You are a terrible image for this franchise.

That is IF we get Cambell and think he is capable of starting.

I don't buy it for a second. I don't think we're going after Campbell.

Just my opinion, but Ramsey has been given plenty of opportunity since he came here. If he were so good he would have won the job outright which he couldn't do last training camp and was beaten out by your "noodle arm."

I don't think it's fair to judge Ramsey on the past two seasons without ...

Always remember Gibbs himself said we haven't seen the last of Brunell. Ramsey had better have a stellar year otherwise he is gone next year. Gibbs wants to win now.

Joe Gibbs likes to keep the peace in the locker room... I think we've seen the last of Brunell. Maybe last year was a fluke but I ...

Why is everyone so ready to believe the media on pre-draft hype? Geez, I though everyone knew that you don't believe this B.S. a few days before the draft. You guys are acting like its time to lay flowers on Ramseys grave. Duh, IT IS PRE-DRAFT HYPE! Last time I checked we hadn't picked anyone yet ...

Redskins Rule, what's your beef with Tim Hasselbeck? Just curious.

I graduated from Boston College with him (although I didn't know him or anything) so I saw him play a lot. He doesn't have the strongest arm but he is smart and was a helluva lot better in college than his older brother, who is ...

I agree with DEHog, I wish Ramsey would tell everyone, including his agent, to shut it.

Be a man, welcome Brunell, then go out and kick his butt across Fairfax (or is it Loudon) county and prove to everyone that you deserve that starting spot!!

Ramsey "[Coach Gibbs] is a man of integrity and I'm going to trust him". Agent Jimmy Sexton is apprehensive as the team intensifies contract talks with Brunell.

It's stuff like this that makes me dislike all pro sports.

SportsTalk 980 is reporting the Sexton is driving all of the trade talk. Apparently Ramsey has said he wants to stay but Sexton is saying they might ask for a trade. I hate agents.

I do want to point out that 56's original post did not say that Arrington was frustrated or upset in any way, he was asked if Gibbs had contacted and he said no. I don't think Arrington is crying about it. He's probably anxious to speak with Gibbs but I'm sure he realizes that Gibbs has quite a bit ...

Next year's defense...

So, I'm kind of sick of all the Brunell/Ramsey talk or anything that even questions Joe Gibbs' decisions so I'd like to start a new topic.

What kind of defense does Gregg Williams run? How will Lavar be used? Will he be given more freedom as he had last year or will Williams contain him more as ...

That's a good point but I think Gibbs is probably working hard to take care of things that require immediate attention. I'm sure Gibbs wish he had the time to meet with all of them one-on-one right now but it seems there are matters that could slip out of their favor if they're not made first ...

I think no matter what's in his contract, Brunell would come in as the favorite. Joe Gibbs favors a veteran QB. However, I also think that Joe Gibbs is going to go with the better overall QB so if Ramsey outplays Brunell in camp, the job is his. Ramsey would definitely be at a disadvantage and I ...

I'm gonna have to agree with Pigskin on all counts. The only thing I have to add is that agents are the worst.
