Vick

Any word on if Vick will see the field Friday? He's only taken 20 snaps this preseason and hasn't exactly shined in the West Coast, but they understandably don't want his hammy hurt worse.

Hokies travel

I drove up from Roanoke, Va. for the game and it was the wildest I've ever seen FedEx. 80,000 Hokie fans helped, as did the fact that many of us were tailgating (and playing beer pong) by 1 p.m. for the 7:45 kickoff. I just hope it will be that rowdy for the Monday night game vs. Cowboys.

That story was embargoed by the paper for a weekend release. I got it on a newspaper wire and didn't notice it wasn't supposed to be out yet. That's why it said 7-11.

Man the Ravens could be scary coming into FedEx. They've got to sign McAllister, but that's about it. I guess they'll stick with Boller and Wright at QB instead of persuing someone else, but if they add some WRs it could get nasty. :(

Miami Herald has a big article on SS and what went wrong. Among other things, it has a source saying he will coach in college in 2005. Here are a couple of interesting quotes from it:

‘‘He could probably win in the NFL in the right situation,’’ said ESPN analyst Bill Curry, who spent 14 years in ...

It seems to me there aren't any real elite D linemen coming out. Will Smith from OSU looks good, but I want a dominating player at the No. 5 pick. Miami's Sean Taylor is gonna be a great safety and there are a couple of strong RBs out there...Kevin Jones, Steven Jackson. The best idea may be to ...

As a Redskins fan and a Virginia Tech graduate, count me among those not wanting Kevin Jones in the draft. The Skins have much bigger needs and though a great player, Jones is not the guy to bring in. He's another me-first type of guy, and I think we have enough of those already. After losses he has ...
