I'll also weigh in with a vote in favor of Samuels doing whatever it takes to ensure a long and healthy life after football. With that said, I hope he recovers quickly and plays for us again. But I'll understand if he's not able to.

Peter King on this year's HOF Class
I heard Peter King on the radio with Dan Patrick this morning. I found this quote, among a bunch of others, pretty ridiculous.
"There are no slam dunks this year. Nobody is a lock."
Apparently he forgot that Darrell Green was on the ballot. Oh wait, I forgot, he was a life-long Washington ...

Let me preface my next statement by saying that I do not think Warrick Holdman is not a pro-bowler, or even that he is a solid starter anymore.
That said though... I think Holdman may've been the most consisten linebacker on the defense, based on talent. He had a better season than Lemar Marshall ...

Two things...
Brandon Lloyd will be back for a couple of reasons. Firstly because he's a better 2nd receiver than anybody else this team could potentially bring in and secondly because the receiver position isn't a concern right now. This team has too many wholes to fill, and creating another one ...

1. Fire Jackson as safeties coach and comepletely re-evaluate and toy with every aspect of the defense. Retain Gregg Williams, sign a safety with coverage abilities to start opposite Sean Taylor, and hope that Proleau will be healthy enough to provide help in the backfield next season
2. Give Al ...

Defesive Problems
I don't want to make excuses for the horiffic first-half of the season that the Redskins are having. They've looked bad. Really bad, and I think everyone on this board would agree with that.
I do however want to gage what my fellow hogs.net advocates think the problem is.

Re: up the middle
WHY DID THE SKINS NOT RUN UP THE MIDDLE? THE GINATS ARE KNOWN FOR THERE SPEED ON THE DEFENSIVE LINE SO THE TOSS PLAYS AREN'T GOING TO WORK AS MUCH IF WE RAN THE BALL UP THE MIDDLE IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN AWAY FROM THERE SPEED JOE GIBBS UNDERSTANDS THAT BUT I DON'T THINK AL SAUNDERS DOES I HATE TO SAY ...

Re: Looking ahead to the Colts?
That could lead to 2 losses for this team. The Titans came off of a fluke 1 point game and they're confident right now. They also have nothing to lose. The Colts will be healthy for the first time all year in week 7.

Honestly, I think this has to do with the transition into Saunders'offense. Last year was the team's second season in JG's offense, and they "got it" With improved personnel, and the same offense, they'd probably be clickin' more about now.
However, that's not the case, and it is painful to watch ...
