Outstanding move by the Capitals. Steckel became invaluable to the penalty kill unit and the face offs. Besides Laing, not sure any player on the Caps has more bruises than Steckel.

From what I understand Schmitt left practice and walked off the field. My bet is, he simply realized he would not make the roster and maybe the who pro football thing wasn't working out so why put the energy forth.

Well, give that Tavares Washington will see more playing time tonight because of the Wade and Heyer injuries, lets see if he steps up. Got to get over these annoying and nagging injuries.

The fact we have two young safeties who have shown something, Moore and Horton, is good news for the defense. In fact, watching these two battle it out for who is superior should be fun to watch

I don't think there is any doubt in my mind, come 9/4 that Collins is the backup. He is the veteran and played well last year. I think elevating him today is to just see him play against a high caliber players, rather than 3rd and 4th stringers, many of which will not make the Colts.

I don't believe Champ will be a Redskin much longer.

Problem is, Upshaw has a reputation for penalties such as last week, and the guys with those reputations are watched closely and get the flags.
