I respectfully disagree. I think Bettis hits the hole harder than Portis (these days) but I don't think he has the elusiveness or speed to break the long ones. While Portis does seem to be slowed somewhat, I still think he has the ability to break the long ones.

If we win the SB with Collins I don't see how you could go into next year with him as the backup. JC has plenty of time to regain the starting role. That is, basically, I think they stand a chance of losing the team if Collins won the SB only to have him benched next season. Afterall, it's ...

He has done a good job of holding things together under dire circumstances so I'm glad he's still the coach. In fact, I hope he gets an extension even though I've been upset at the play (and play-calling) at times this year. With a lot of other coaches, the season would have completely unraveled ...

While I think Collins might be more effective short-term, I think we need to stick with JC. There are bound to be growing pains with a young QB and I'd rather not kill his confidence for a quick fix type solution. That is, neither of our backups have a future here so I don't think it would be wise ...
