The joke in my house growing up was about the Giants talk radio of the day. It seems eerily similar to what the Giants do during the first three quarters of their games:
"Why can't the Giants just score?"

After pretty much every pundit in the country had picked up to lose to Houston, I would throw credibility issues into the whole prediction process. These writers (especially the national ones on ESPN and SI) are supposed to be critical, not biased (but then again, it is the media, so forget I said ...

I think Shockey's overrated. I watched the whole interview on ESPN Motion this morning, and he was basically complaining about the fact that he had to do a lot of blocking! That's what tight ends do!
I think Shockey is basically one of the many U-Miami jerks who is so full of himself, he doesn't ...

EA Sports NFL Head Coach - True to Life?
This post may be moved to a Redskins-specific forum, but I'll continue.
So for my birthday about a month ago, I picked up EA Sports NFL Head Coach for the PS 2. I played it that afternoon, got hired and got to training camp (it can be a long and tedious game, but I think it's fun).

While I do have more confidence in the team, I think Patrick Hruby of ESPN's Page 2 has a much better explanation for the loss on Monday night: Tom Cruise.

The Problem is Inconsistency
Our kicking game suffers because our kickers are inconsistent. Our kick coverage suffers for the same reason. It's ridiculously hard for punt coverage to be consistent when Frost can't make the punt at least 4-5 seconds of hangtime EACH time. One kick is 31 yards and a line drive, the next 36 and a ...

If Grammatica's got the leg back, I think he would be a decent idea for the PK. And with the new NFL rules about celebrations (a.k.a. the "Steve-Smith-Chad-Johnson-T-O Oppression" Rule), we shouldn't have to worry too much about him blowing out his knee in a leap.

O-Line could be a major problem
Yes, I know. We have Pro-Bowl O-Linemen. And yes, I was only able to see the first half of the game (SEE: DVR Disaster). But I saw Minnesota's D-Line own our O-Line all night. Brunell didn't have a lot of time, and when you use swing passes and screens to slow them down, any defense with an IQ can ...

DVR Disaster with the game last night
So I'm a die-hard Skins fan living in UT right now, and I have set my DVR to record the game last night (since it started when I was still at work). For some reason, as I'm watching the game in the first half, the remote basically ceases to work when it comes to pausing, skipping through commercials ...

Vanderjagt as new kicker?
It would be one thing if this was John Hall's first miss of his tenure here in Washington, but it's not. He's missed several field goals and lost us several games.
Word is Vanderjagt wants out of Dallas, and while I'm not necessarily a fan of the guy, there's a good bet that he wouldn't have ...

Belichick - Genius or Egomaniac?
I pose this question in light of the Deion Branch trade. Seeing Brady throw for 4,000 yards last year, I got him on my fantasy team. While he threw 2 TDs yesterday, he only had like 30 yards completed to his receivers. Yes, his TEs are beasts, and Maroney is an excellent draft pick, but an offense ...

McNabb Looks Too Good
Admittedly, it was probably aided by the dreadful Houston defense, but who else can't see that McNabb is back? Stallworth may have stalled in NO, but he'll look good with a real QB throwing to him!
