Re: RG III will sign with...

IF he can stay on the field, with good coaching, I think he can play QB at this level. Durability is the biggest concern.

Re: Should the Skins re-sign Cousins....?

Another shortcoming in the article is the author fails to recognize Gruden's WCO is designed around short completions during into longer gains after the catch. He ignores the tenets of the WCO and disparages Kirk for the number of short passes. More importantly the recommendation to franchise Kirk ...

I wouldn't go that far. Anyway, once you get to the playoffs, anything can happen.

The NFC East is 10 games below .500.
The next worst(AFC South) is -8.

So statistics say we are the worst, but not by that much.

Re: 2016 Mock Draft

I think LeRib is a free agent next year. Would be surprised to see him re-signed. Center is going to have to be addressed one way or the other.

He should be a free agent next week. Failure to know the snap count is inexcusable. He should go keep RGIII company in the "guys who can't execute a play ...

Next 6 games?

Realistically, we can beat the Saints, the Bears, and the Giants. Not saying we will, but I am thinking we could. I'm leaning more towards 2-4 over the next 6 games, with a shocking upset (Panthers or Cowboys ) being possible.

The Pukes are 2-5. Last place. beating them would not ...

What's ironic about it??

Only that since NE averages the same ypc as we give up --- from a pure statistical standpoint, a NE RB 4.9 ypc is what we have to look forward in the game.

Not true. We are near the bottom in yds allowed/attempt. They are near the top in yds. gained/attempt.

IMO we lose to Patriots and Panthers and that would be great ... I'd LOVE 8-8 but I now am thinking 7-9 - DEHog's 'meaningful' games in December is a real possibility IMO
At this point I'd be THRILLED with 7-9. If we don't fix our run game (both sides of the ball), & figure out our Q3 problems, we ...

Re: Cousins Showing Progress Griffin Didn't Make

Kirk deserves to start no doubt. Like I said its all there for the taking. 7-9, 8-8 is not a successful season. I dont care how you spin it. Playoffs or bust is the way its always been. Some teams believe SuperBowl or bust which is what our team was used to exspecting long ago.

Like I said Kirk ...

Re: Division title! Everything is set up perfectly for us.

Well there are different types of 8-8 if we’re 6-8 or 7-7 we’re probably playing meaningful games in December. If we’re 4-8 we’re not. I guess my point is we have become so condition that we are now going to view mediocrity as success. As I said and you pointed out there is reason to be optimistic ...

Don’t forget Niles Paul was slated as the starter before he got hurt, not that Niles is better than Jordan but I think the Skins may have planned on cutting down his snaps by making him a situational player….I see no reason that can’t be an option going forward??

I found that odd, honestly. Reed ...

I'm not sure it should be called progress. Cousins was already capable of doing what he's doing. He did it at the collegiate level.

Doing ANYTHING at the college level does NOT mean you can simply do it at the pro level. Especially when it comes to reads, adjustments, and the like. Making and ...

As much as people downplay 2012, there was REAL talent shown there- and I think the story isn't finished.

Re: what's up with Trent Murphy?

I've wondered if Murphy wouldn't be a really good DE if he gained 25-30 more lbs. He's got he frame. He's certainly quick enough and strong enough for that.

Not worried about Smirh. He's learning. Will be better later this year and beyond.

He'd need more than that for 3/4 DE. I doubt he could ...

why are we worrying about $16M - it's chump change when the franchise is at $2.85B & growing - Griffin might not be our QB of the future - Kissing Cousins certainly is not - I could care less who plays QB here & I'm not at all worried about the cost - I just want better play from the QB

You can call it "big boy football", but we know it as "smash mouth" football. Introduction to Football, as taught by the master, Joe Gibbs. Great to see.

Any time a Redskin team has about twice as many first downs, any time the OL pounds the defense, somewhere, Joe is smiling.

The NFL is not ...

I will take a modern (ie, bigger) version of the 1991 OL and DL (including line backers), the same Posse, same Mark-the-Ripper at QB, same DBs. Same Joe Gibbs smash-mouth football. I can joke that it's "big boy" football until the Redskins start playing the NFC East. They will still grind up ...
