Cooley is one of my favorite draft picks we've made in a long time. Of course, it's hard to have a favorite draft pick when we go into the draft with only three in our hand.

The consenses is that we overpaid Randel-el, and to be honest, I agree. The 11 million over seven years is 1.57 per year against the cap, not including his salery, which at 31 million is of course backheavy. You pay Moss that kind of money, not Randel-el. I just hope that the three reciever sets ...

Why not get a rookie or FA cheap QB and out him on the PS and let Randle El be the third QB...also has Antonio Brown been cut yet? This guy give you so many options!!

Not yet. Here's who's on our roster as far as wide recievers are concerned...

Re: End of Portis throwing days

do u think signing RAndel El could mean the end of Clintons thowing days on trick plays. I am not sure, I was wondering what u all think.

No way. The more versitility you have, the more unpredictable you become, the easier it is to do some nasty stuff to opposing defenses. Give Portis a shot or ...

I love this signing. I was in such a great mood heading into work tonight.

Too bad I had no one to talk to about it.

We've got nice offensive firepower. As I mentioned in the Patten thread, I hope Brunell can stay healthy and consistent or Jason Campbell has matured nicely with his one season ...

For some reason my last post only posted the quote...

Patten's best game last year was against Denver in week 5. He caught a season-high seven passes for a season-high 63 yards, with a long of 16. His longest reception was for 32 yards against the lowly 49ers He'll ...

Re: Is Patten going to be traded?

I understand we would like depth at every position but I can't see any one of these guys being ok with being the teams 4th receiver.

There is no doubt Moss is number one and with these other weapons he could have a even better season next year but who is 2 then 3 and do you really think any of ...

hmm, i doubt its a danny move because apparently gibbs has been in love with antwaan for awhile now and was dying to have him.

Alright, let's look at our current QB's...

We've got Brunell, Ramsey (for now), Campbell, Casey, Randel-el and Portis with Collins as a potential FA pickup.

To ...

Usually I love their editorials... but mortgaging the future?! Get real! It's a freaking 3rd round pick and a 4th rounder, not even in the same draft for a 24 year old wideout who fills our biggest offseason hole.

Ridiculous

I believe what they're saying is that we trade away too many picks ...

ive been lookin around google and i found another message board where someone said steve smith was on the cover at their ebgames... so not sure what that means, probably just a marketing ploy.

I'm not sure how much I believe in the "curse," but I sure as hell believe in the coincidence. So, as long as there's a Madden cover coincidence, keep the 'Skins away from it.

Three pages on Todd Collins.

It's not as if he's going to battle for the #1 position for goodness sake. He's going to be our #3 and help Brunell and Campbell understand Saunders and his system better.

First: Why would you ever pay three quarterbacks starter saleries with a salary cap? That's silly. We did last year and were lucky to get away with it.

Second: Guys like Culpepper and Brees would never sign with us if they wouldn't be able to start.

Third: Thrid string quarterbacks almost ...

IMO QB situation. What if:

Brunell goes down (realistic probability) and Campbell plays poorly (realistict probability). Then we are stuck with Todd " I cant play a lick" Collins. Look at the Eagles crappy QBs last year. Season was over when McNabb went down. And the Jets ...

Seriously though, Lloyd is a lot like Moss in his elusiveness (though not quite as good, or fast) but has better hands and can jump higher. This is great. Maybe a 4th WR who is a big target like JJ would be nice... but I think we might be set on offense.

JJ is gone. He's part of the Browns now ...

I'd rather just get Lloyd, Carter, and resign Clark.

I'm not really excited about this move. Of course, I wasn't excited about Moss aside from the fact that we were getting rid of Coles and his toe. At least the Lloyd's young. He can be good. He did score two touchdowns and hauled in an 89 yard ...

I said fourth round pick, but it should be added that I'd also want a group of prospects, devolopmental players as well. My rationing? I only make this point to show that a "slow market" as you call it is not at all determinative of team value and/or revenue. It's a cycle dependent upon a confluence of variables: owners willingness to invest in the on-field product, and owner's creativity and aggressiveness in investing outside of ...
