Re: Jordan Reed

Jordan Reed has reportedly jumped out at the Redskins' joint-team practices with the Patriots.

This news isn't coming from a Redskins writer, either. It's from the Boston Globe's Ben Volin, who now believes Reed "is in line for a big season" after repeatedly burning an improved New England back ...

Sean Taylor's Murderer Gets 57.5 Years

The man convicted of murder in the 2007 shooting death of Sean Taylor in Miami was sentenced Thursday.

Eric Rivera, 23, was sentenced to 57.5 years in state prison following his conviction in November on second-degree murder and armed burglary charges.

"I'm truly sorry for your loss," Rivera ...

Re: KUBIAK

First... I haven't been here in a while and after a quick review of some recent threads, I'm stunned by all the finger pointing going on around here. Actually, after thinking about it for a second, I'm not really all that stunned at all. Fairly typical for a few from what I remember.

Anyway, kinda ...

Meanwhile, for the first time in years the Redskins actually look deep at almost every position (except at safety) and even have emerging stars in several crucial positions. We are the safer pick by any reasonable estimate ...

I have to say that I've been thoroughly impressed with what Allen and Shanahan have done both in the draft and with free agency since they arrived in Washington. The new direction of this team is truly a breathe of fresh air and can't be understated.

Are they thinking Helu is permanently damaged?

To be honest, I don't think so. Although no one truly knows for sure at this point, but Helu recently said he's almost fully healthy after the surgery that repaired the cartilage damage in his left toe that had gone previously undiscovered. Helu ...

Not only did we get the players we were targeting anyway, but in the meantime we picked up a few value picks with lots of upside.

His stock just went up... dramatically...

Lol... completely agree. I like the pick. Perhaps not spectacular, but I like the way our draft is shaping up thus far.

Hey guys, Jordan Reed is a great pick. I know some of you weren't predicting a TE in the 3rd, but I saw that the Skins wasted no time when they were on the clock making this pick. They basically ran to the podium, which tells me they had this kid rated highly, and I know why.

I live down here in ...

So, it's either take an $18M cap hit, a rookie QB, a rookie back-up QB, a rookie RB and a depleted defense missing 4 major contributors and win the Super Bowl or the coaches are all "idiots?" Got it...

It's not a mystery or some kind of unknown disappearance. It's simply a numbers / depth chart thing.

Robinson is a back-up to Garcon. When Garcon was sidelined with the injured foot, Robinson got plenty of playing time, and made the absolute most of his opportunity. But now that Garcon is back ...

That said, I don't see how they could get rid of kickoffs. They could move it up even further, but not get rid of them completely. They are such a huge part of the game.

John Keim relates to ATX's frustration with Banks
It’s a bit amazing that Brandon Banks’ blunders haven’t hurt the Redskins in a big way, between fumbles in other games and trying to return a punt from the goal-line. But now that the games will start becoming more important, how nervous will he ...

Umm... wow. Well, we saw him kick it through the end zone several times in Dallas and in others games, so we therefore know he has the leg-strength to do it.

What I'm wondering though, is how do you know that the shorter ...

Just because you don't see Paul catching passes on every other play doesn't mean he isn't or hasn't been involved on offense. In fact, Paul was quite active last Sunday , much the same as he was at the end of last year ...

Over 150 last night and he can do that by taking to the field 15 times or less, that's the difference.

Hate to say it, because I like Banks, but I agree that he hasn't shown enough value to stick on the team. I know he was injured last year, but still, his returns were mostly painful to watch. I can remember Banks mishandling a few last year to be honest, but he got away with them.

In 2011, Banks ranked 2nd in the league with the most fumbles on punt returns with 5 fumbles. Banks tied for 2nd most fumbles on kick returns with 2 fumbles. Fumbling has been a problem that has plagued ...
