I am also very upset with the kicking this year. I can understand if the holding is poor, but if that is not the case, Suisham is absolutely overrated. I cannot understand why we can't get a decent kicker. We haven't had a good one in ages.

You've got to be kidding me right? He is on his 3rd ...

The QB Michigan has right now was a recruited by Carr, and therefore meant to play in a Carr style offence. Once Rich gets a better QB to run the speard Mich will be WAY better. Besides Michigan sucking, how bout Penn State?

I like that Jansen is still starting...altho his pass pro looked shakey at times vs the Rams, he is a beast when it comes to the run tho.

All I want to see in the first half is a lot of Clinton...if he is running well then that will set up the play action for the rest of the game. This will be a very hard hitting affair.

Boss-
so what you are saying is that we could have signed Mason off the Ravans practice squad??????

.........and we signed , broke down, slow, sean alexander?

I think Mason would have WAY more upside!

Maybe he does.. But you have to realize that there is a reason why Mason isn't on any NFL ...

IMO if Portis keeps running like he does then the Skins will be just fine. All we need to do is take care of the football. Rookie wideouts usually have a tough time adjusting to the NFL...with a couple of exceptions.
As for our PR...I'd love to see anyone back there returning kicks besides ARE ...

I didn't read the blog (aka too lazy). But as much as I hate ManRam, you've got to respect the guy. He single handed got the LA Dogers in the playoffs. He looks like he is having a lot more fun in LA. And how can you not love him taking out his 9 iron in Game 1 and hitting that ball off this shoe ...

Portis is by far the best player to watch without the ball. The guy just kills guys on pass protection.

Our o-line play thus far into the season has been outstanding. I believe that the benching of Jon Jansen was a way of scaring him. Since his return he has been playing like the Jansen we remember. I haven't even heard Thomas' name, and that is always a good thing. Casey's play has been outstanding ...

3 rookies stand out in my mind...
1. Chris Horten - I'd be lying to say that I've heard about this guy. He has made plays in big time situations. I believe he is benefiting from Greg's defensive schemes. If he keeps up this solid play, his name will be in talks for ROY.

2. Brooks - Shakey at ...

I haven't done any reading on John's injury, but when I see a grown man in such pain it is NEVER a good thing. Thank goodness Heyer had tons of play in preseason, because he looked very comfertable out there. And let me tell you, its not as easy as you think ...

The simple and right answer is the o-line just doesn't seem to want it as bad. Lets be honest here, all they need is 1 - 2 yards. Get them all in a 4pt stance and run a dive or a simple iso.
Then obviously you can play off that once the o-line gets their butts in gear (ie. play action, bootlegs ...
