Just a reminder that a group of us will be watching the Redskins 2013 season opener on Monday, September 9 at 7pm (6:55pm to be technical and as per NFL). The midtown meetup will still be happening but I recently moved uptown (way uptown) and am looking to set up a North NYC Redskins meetup. I've spoken to a 4-5 people and they are interested.

As you can see, most people had a great time. Red Sky has made the changes (more space, more staff, more TVs) and it will only get better.

But, to me, it's the fans that make or break a place.

There are going to show the game with sound, they have drink/food specials, and they are doing it up and going the whole nine yards on this. They'll have a large projection TV and other TVs ...

Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. Springs is a vet, has played in this D for 2 years, keeps himself in shape and studies hard. So poor physical conditioning and mental preparation shouldn't be an issue.

Secondly, it'll give Rumph, Wright, et al more playing time in TC.

He's our widcard and will keep opposing Ds guessing. He'll also play a lot of slot WR and help our 3rd down conversion rate go up. Finally, he gives up a legitimate PR/KR specialist. Great pickup.

For those who don't know or haven't been there, there's a Redskins' bar in NYC called The Falls . The bar is pretty nice, the crowd is cool and 99% Redskins' fanatics, they have good specials ($10 pitchers, cheap wings, good burgers, etc) -- no, I don't work for the Falls or get a cut. hehe
