What I don't understand is why various media bash the Lloyd and Randle El signings as if we are asking those guys to come in and be #1 and #2. Those guys were not necessarily signed for what they will produce but what for they will allow guys like Moss, ey and Portis to do by virtue of occupying ...

Here's two serious Redskin haters on the subject:

Clark Judge -

The Redskins paid him what? I like this guy, too, but more as a third receiver and a special-teams gamebreaker. So paying him $31 million makes absolutely no sense to me. Of course, I don't understand paying assistant coaches $2 ...

If the ad (not 'add', don't know how they abbreviate the word in Canada) were directed at anyone other than Sally Jenkins, I would agree completely with RIC. She simply has no place writing about the Skins from her lair up in NYC.

I really wish she would just stick to writing about Olympic Ice ...

On that same broadcast not only did Mike Golic pick against the Skins, Mark Schlereth said that the Skins had "no chance" on Saturday. I swear that dude has nothing good to say about the Skins, ever. What does have to be hatin' for? He got a ring and a nice contract as a result of his time with the ...

Ran into Ryp at a charity golf tourney at Renditions this summer. He was great - signed a football for me and was very personable (of course this may have been from all of the Bud Lights he was pounding).

We talked about Joe Gibbs for a while and Ryp said that Coach was absolutely gonna get it ...

Lavar maintained earlier this year when he was not playing that he was 100% healthy and that his injury was not the reason that he wasn't on the field.

Then on 980 this week (in response to Doc's compliments on his performance) he said something to the effect of "I'm glad to finally be 100 ...

It is curious that Boswell used records from the 1993 season thru present (a 12 year period). Normally, folks talk interms of rolling ten year periods. These #'s are very skewed by the fact that the Skins were 3-13 in '93 and 4-12 in '94. Those were the first two post-Gibbs years when the cupboard ...

The Skins are not as good as we thought they were after putting up 52 on the Niners and not as bad we think after yesterday.

I really hope they rebound with a solid showing next week. I was almost hoping the Eagles would win yesterday so they wouldn't be desperate on Sunday night.

The NFL is ...

I really don't like power rankings. They are based purely on opinion. That being said, Sagarin uses a quantitative model in his approach, employing any number of statistical measures to come up with his rankings.

His picks this year are 52-47 against the spread. That is a pretty good number ...

That's a good call on only getting jerseys with retired players' #s. I, too, got suckered into a LaVar authentic a couple of years ago. Fortunately, I got it on Ebay so did not pay full price.

I can, however, still sport my #72 Dexter Manley (that I had made on NFL Shop) with pride.

Roy makes an excellent point. Marvin Lewis also runs a very disciplined scheme but managed to get an awful lot of production out of Lavar. It makes me wonder why GW can't do the same.

Dr. Z always picks about 3/4 of the playoffs/division leaders from the year before. Look it up. That guy was relevant about a decade ago.

As for phattymatt, I think what happens when a serious NFL fan moves to a new city is that they pretty much develop a hatred for the home team.
