Re: New SM & JG Era Beginning, Renewed Hopes

Why has Gruden failed??? Maybe RG3 just keeps failing...Ever wonder that he cant read defenses, doesn't trust what he sees and cant throw people open? Its apparent he doesn't trust the plays and never gets rid of the ball at the top of his drop....its timing people..then the pocket collapses and he ...

Re: Should we sign him?

It is hard to believe the draft where they had three second round picks they chose Devin Thomas, Malcolm Kelly and Fred Davis. They could have had guys who also went in the second round like Jordy Neslon, Matt Forte, DeSean Jackson (who ended up here anyway). Then there was Ray Rice, who went in ...

I knew they had a promising TE behind Davis......I thought we got McDonald.....so whatever for a conditional pick

Our WR depth looks promising....should we trade Roberts? To say the Rams for Jared Cook

Re: Shanny on Griffin

Why do so many people doubt RGIII's ability to read a D when he was so successful in the READ option. He had to make split second decisions on hand off vs keep & which hole to hit.

The read option is simple 1 route maybe 2 passing off of the run fake....you have to read the DE on the run and ...

Re: Shanny on Griffin

Old school has a problem with Griffin. The sun also rises each day. The slant he puts on anything Griffin does, says or that is said about him is incredibly myopic. Even if (IF!) there is a point in there somewhere it gets lost among the anti Griffin bent. Mark my words, when Griffin does play well ...

Re: something that can happen to all 32 teams

ITs just PSI.....and if you flip the script and a QB cant set the pressure to get HIS best grip......and the others can within the "parameters".....who has an unfair advantage? This is just another ridiculous rule that micromanages the game. Its not like the home team sets the PSI for both teams to ...

Re: Jackson: Griffin To Run Read Option Like 2012

I didn't mean to imply that we should run the read option as a staple. What RG3 has proven is that he IS a project cause hes missing IT. All the talent, seems smart, seems dedicated to a degree but maybe NOT enough. He gets a pass cause of injury....he gets a pass for recovering, he gets a pass for ...

Did we need OL?...YES
Was he probably the top in the draft?...Yes
Worthy of a top 10 or 5 pick?....NO

That is PREMIER LT slot right there. He isn't Ogden, Pace, etc. Is he even as good as Williams (#4)?
Seen highlights of him mauling 2nd level persons, which he should.....a lot of 2nd rate talent ...

Re: Jackson: Griffin To Run Read Option Like 2012

There was a GOOD chance had Griffin not gotten hurt, we at least go to that SB....if not win it. We were ROLLIN. Something better show cause last year he looked horrible. Yeah, OL probably not the best but he did hold the ball way too much, looked lost in the pocket and didn't trust the system. Some ...

Re: DRAFT DAY THREAD.....2015

Just saying all the experts say Williams was BEST player in draft and Scott always said BPA...that's usually regardless of position.
According to reports, Scot had Scherff above Williams on his board, so in his expert opinion Williams was NOT the best player in the draft. Not even top 3, btw. Just ...

Re: DRAFT DAY THREAD.....2015

Thats exactly what im saying. Williams was not a scheme fit for us. Too small for a 3-4 DE, too big for an OLB and not the right skillset for it. He could of played in our nickel packages in the 4-3... or we could have scherff play every down.

BPA is very much scheme based.

Re: DRAFT DAY THREAD.....2015

Loved the #1 understood the #2 pick and it went down hill for me then. Obviously Scot knows much more than any of us but at least today I'm disappointed. I had hoped our much maligned OL would be addressed with this draft and the #1 pick should be a great addition but then we waited a few rounds ...
