Just wanted to quickly add my two (outsider) cents.

The issue brought up by the media recently, concerning the name of the Washington Redskins, is whether or not the team name and mascot is offensive to Native Americans. Obviously, one would have to discern what the term 'redskins' even means ...

Not bad at all. I expect a dogfight between the Redskins and Giants for the East.

If it is in fact a racial slur, why would ANYONE want to keep it the same? Redskins is seldom used but for the NFL team, which conjures up images of brave native american warriors, not savages. It seems to be inevitable at this point. I don't support a change, however, we may have to prepare for it.

Thoughts?

I don't put too much stock in strength of schedule estimates this early. They often turn out to be way off.

+1 - especially when the strength of schedule is based on last year - we are not going to be the 'same' as last year and neither are the teams we are going to play this season ...

Yes. Should go 3-1 there but one never knows.

We also play the NFC North. 2-2 is not unlikely but, again, one never knows.

Strength of schedule games are 49R and ATL. Ouch ...

That's a mighty hard season the 'Skins have next year. Hard to see them going 12-4, but can't see them tanking to 7-9 either. 10-6 again is my guess, maybe 9-7.
