It's actually insane. The league was instructing teams not to spend above normal in the uncapped year. That's wildly illegal. It's a restraint of trade and they could have been sued into oblivion had any of that come out.

But the most recent CBA absolved the owners of any antitrust litigation, so ...

I am now glad the Redskins gave up two first round draft choices. They couldn't afford to pay those would be players the money now anyway.

Snyder and the team has to sue each and every other team and the NFL in federal court for Racketeering. If I was Dan Snyder I would cut every player on the ...

Re: What the Redskins gave up to get RGIII

I am not questioning whether RGIII is a good quarterback I only want to know what the Redskins gave up to get this deal done. When multiple Football sources tell you different amounts of first round picks, it means that nobody really knows what they are talking about ...

I am not that excited. I know that Brandon Banks has more TD passes and a better passer rating in the NFL than Griffin will ever have and we didn't pay a lot for Brandon.

Well ... you really went out on a limb with passer rating. Banks' is 158.3.

But more TD passes? Right.

I'll take that bet ...

Rex is the man for back-up. Kyle Orton? Are you kidding me? You do know that he was Rex's back-up in Chicago right? That he is called Check-down Kyle because he can't throw the ball over 20 yards and hence doesn't throw interceptions but allows defenses to keep eight in the box to stop the run.

Don't lose sight that the Redskins got the rights to the number #2 draft Pick, not RGIII. That means they could also get Andrew Luck if the Colts think Griffin is better. If I were the Colts and need as much help on the offensive as the Colts do, I would go for RGIII not Griffin. Luck is going to be ...

Dear Peyton:

The Redskins beat your brother's team twice with Rex Grossman this year. Eli now has two rings, you only have one. You can beat your brother twice a year and win the Super Bowl if you become the Redskins Quarterback .

This is tricky. The Redskins have to know that whoever the QB is, he can't "Throw the F**ng Ball and catch it too." Gisele was right. It was TE Grownkoski that killed the Redskins this year. With him hurt in the Super Bowl they had to go with older players who are no longer in their prime. They ...

If he hits the market, someone WILL take a chance on him... There's simply too much potential to ignore.

His "alternative" cure didn't work last year and it won't work this year. It needs to be surgically repaired and every team knows this. I bet nobody takes him until after the season starts ...

This is interesting because it appears to be Mike Shanahan showing his age with the usage of the word "Tough guy". In the old days that meant a trouble maker or a "bruiser " somebody who was big and was able to bowl people over. Helu is a quick back, but not a "tough guy".

This draft year surely is a tough one to make a choice. No team wants to be in the top 6, because it means your team is near or at the bottom of the league. That also means hopefully a limited opportunity to get an Andrew Luck. But, I also agree that there has to be other QB's out there that with a ...
