Hail to the Redskins!

Thank you Joe,
Thanks for bringing our team back to its designated pedestal. We didn't need to be a Superbowl ring to get us back to our roots we just need someone like you. We needed the man who led us to victory and established this franchise as a mainstay in NFL History. You brought pride back to DC, along with accountability, respect, honor, decency, order, intelligence, and a winning attitude.
To any true Redskins fan there is a stark contrast between this season and last, DESPITE our record. Never in my 20 years of living have I witnessed this team play with the passion they possess now. Never have I truely believed that we could win every game. Never have I really looked forward to the next season like I am now. Never have I had a team that could be built upon, never have I had a sense of foundation.
I witnessed the last Superbowl you won and that was the only game that I can remeber you in. Then came Norv, Terry, Marty, and Steve and none of those coaches made the difference you have made in the same amount of time. Some may say that Marty did better in the time span but with that success came with a bit of bad too. You brought individuals together and made us a team which is something we have been lacking.
I have something to confess to. You were correct in not allowing Patrick to start. You were right because there is no way we can prove different. You are right because he has grown so much from last year. We could clearly tell that you wanted to kill him on Sunday and that a veteran QB may not have made that attempt but you are giving him his chance. I believed that Ramsey should have started the season and maybe that would have been a bad thing. If we started Ramsey and he stalled we would have played Brunell and we know how that season would have ended.
The way you believe in the Redskins and your players, we need to believe in you the same way. You have an unwaivering faith in your players and the least I and everyone else can do is believe in you. You have already shown that you are the real deal and we'd be crazy to not back you up. I'm not worried about our offense because even though we still have been losing we have seen improvement consistently. Many people want us to instantly turn into the #1 offense overnight but thats not going to happen but I can definately see a consistent and steady increase in our offensive output.
Analysis:
On the offensive side of the ball Im actually happy. Like I mentioned above I see progress across the board. Our QB situation is ok. I think that Brunell needs to go because he isn't capable of being an effective backup unless he had an injury we did not know of. Patrick is our QB of the future and he will play good for us. Tim Hasselback is a great guy and I really like him a lot. He's a good backup for us IMO and I believe we should draft a young prospect in the later rounds of the draft in the next year or two. I really want Tim to get his chance at being a starting QB, I believe he deserves his chance. Our TE situation is average also. We have one monster of TE in
ey but I think thats not what he's listed as. Regardless that boy is beast and Joe, you picked a winner in him. I believe he is truely worth the 2nd round pick we paid for him, he was a steal. We could use another tight end who has better hands but they all seem to block well. Our RB/HB's have stepped it up this year. Betts was plagued last season by injuries but he has shown that he can run in this offense. Portis may not get the numbers he had in Denver this season but he deinfately is a good back. Regardless of he is the protypical back for this system he has shown in the latter weeks that he's willing to alter his game, and Gibbs has shown that he can tweak his offense to compliment Portis. Portis and Betts working in tandem could be a dangerous thing. I believe we have a good WR corp. Coles is one of the best and I hope he can be 100% next year. 50/50 even stepped his game up this year and is about 70/30 during the latter half of the season. Thrash is himself, a good locker room guy who can play for us. McCants is a beast, Jacobs showed some flashes this year too. Our offensive line is in shambles due to injuries. We really missed Jon this year, but I can't FREAKING WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR. Our line is going to be good and our coaches have provided us with solid depth through the previous draft. The rookies we picked up played as good as you can expect a ROOKIE to play and next year they'll be even better. Forget the dirtbags, I want the Hogs back.
Draft possibilities: QB, RB, and WR, are not needs. We could address some more hand picked O-linemen, maybe a TE. I wouldn't mind having Williams on our team but I dont believe we need him.
Special Teams: We need some work here. I believe as we get more good guys through the draft our depth will improve and our S/T will get better. They aren't horrible but we need a bit more consistency from them. Chad Morton need to go. He's overpaid for what he brings to the table and he's be only average. It can be blamed on the blocking but regardless of that he's still one dimensional in his role and over paid. If he's willing to sign for a lower paycheck then we can keep him.
Deffense: We need to address our defense in this draft. We need a STUD DEFENSIVE TACKLE! Why? A monster DT to go along with Griffin will draw many double teams. They will demand attention in every game. That attention will cause teams to not be able to pick up a blitzing Sean Taylor, or Springs as good as they were able to this year. Can you imagine Lavar gettnig penetration into the backfield untouched whenever he wants? He hasn't been able to do that, he's been having to fight off the block. Our blitzing will become even more effective. Right now we're just worrying the QB, he knows that we prolly won't get through right away but we're coming soon. With that setup they're going to have to worry about dumping the ball off ASAP! That'll help our already pro-bowl calibur CB's. Hurrying = INTs. Aside from blitzing that extra beef upfront will help in getting pressure without blitzing which is our biggest deifiency on defense. If we can do that, we will have the #1 D next season.
Why not a DE? I believe that you should get the DT 1st because they aren't supposed to be quick and fast. I believe if you can at least get an average DE on one-one coverage he will create pressure unless he just sucks. We have Daniels, and maybe we can get a rookie in the 3rd, but I think he'll suffice. We need the DT 1st.
Also we need a little more depth in the 2ndary, primarily with our CB's. I know we got some guys hurt, but it wouldn't hurt to get a promising rookie in here.
HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!
