look at the bright side

at least we lost with a little dignity, if there is any dignity in losing. penalties are down A LOT. we fought to the end instead of being out there with no passion...maybe now with the playoffs out of the picture, there won't be as much presure, the guys might relax and play a little better to finish the season on a positive note....

The playoffs aren't out of the picture but to keep them in our eyes, they need to learn not to get down like the always do when they lose.

ok jake, i'll buy that, but it would take nothing shy of a miracle at this point. we'd have to run the table practically to have a shot.

Yes, the playoff picture is out of the question...Unless there was some kind of miracle (which would be the absolute mother of them all) and that kind of miracle ain't gonna happen when you have all this turmoil around this ball club...Hailskins666 I'm right there with you...penalties were very impressive (it ticks me off to think of where we could be sitting if we didn't have that problem) but don't worry, the only thing the Redskins are most consistant at doing is stinkin up the joint...ya know something that is I hear that just is really dissapointing...I (Like probably most of you all) listen to Sonny, Sam and Frank while I watch the game and before each kickoff Sam says "what's at stake today?" well early in the season the answers went something like "to remain in first place" or "a division victory" but now the answer will be "PRIDE" I mean the last time I heard Sam say "Home field adavantage for the first round of the playoffs" or "to clinch a playoff birth" was the '99 season and the time before that was when?? the unforgetable Super Bowl year...he might not say it this week and might not say it until its a mathematical certaintly that it is impossible to make the playoffs...but even if he doesn't until then, that is what the real answer is--PRIDE

The Skins Fan, i'm sure i speak for the majority of this board when i say, i feel ya pain..... it has been too long, hasn't it? we get the talent, spend the $$$ , try to get a good system installed and this is what we get......pretty damn disturbing if you ask me....

This thread was supposed to be about bright spots... I saw two of them yesterday:

1) Haselbeck
2) LB play

Hasselbeck proved that he can run this offense and that B&G faithful need not fret so much if he's called upon. Kudos to the kid for putting in such a solid performance.

Despite trailing off in the 4th (system?), IMO the LBs were the force that they should be yesterday... at least LA and Trotter were anyway.

Too bad the safeties were so bad.
